Chris, why do you think the fish were out there ? was there plenty of bait there, there also was in 100-300 fow. How many rivers other than the Salmon river do they count the return of the kings?Is there any measurement of pen reared fish returns ? I hope this year was just a fluke.

that really sucks I have been lucky but a friend of mine got his rods stolen while fishing out of Fair Haven this spring. I would check my home owners and pawn shops, craigslist, and e bay for a while.

how long to do the fleas last is it just a couple week thing or all summer ? i must have pulled 30 lbs of them off my lines the last couple weks

Pete. we used to have a pacific salmon program in NH where they stocked Coho salmon we used to jig these fish while still feeding with buzz bombs I think I still have a bunch in a old tackle box I gues ill bring them on my next trip to the big O

I travel from Hooksett NH 6 hours and I like to go for 2 weeks at a time it helps offset the gas costs going for 2 weeks Im on my way for 2 more on July 19th . I would rather fis for 4-6 weeks a year atr the big O than the whole season in NH the big O is world class fishing not all that far away.

take a jar of miced garlic and soak a cloth on it as you let your line run it out through the garlic scented cloth you wont get any fleas at all

Im going to share a little trick. I feel that scent is important even if it only masks human scent. For those who troll dodgers and flys I take a cut piece of SHAMWOW material you know that super absorbant material sold on tv. cut it to the shape of a stake about a inch to 1-1/4 long and soak them in Smelt Rite and or Herring oil in a baby food jar. and i attach them to A Tomick flys on the front hook or sometimes slide them into the tubing on the front hook it does not damage the fly and I believe it turns a lot of follows into strikes.
