  8. Thanks Mr George. I just tried this recipe without the Cheyenne pepper, but used salmon . Big hit ,everyone liked it. Were cleaning up now. No one believed me when I said I used corn flakes until I showed them the box. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J327A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. I seen this done and was skeptical at first but think its absolutely outstanding. Get a packet of Italian dressing mix (dry) the stuff you would use if you were making your own dressing. Take salmon fillet on aluminum foil . Add the entire packet of seasoning on top, That's the part I was skeptical about. But yes cake it on ,it will probably seem like it's too much. Now tent up the aluminum foil over the fish but dot let the top touch the fish Preheat oven to 450 ,done in 15 minutes. The steam melts alot of the seasoning off the top. I've also done this with ranch seasoning as a change ,which is great also. And here is one of my favorite ways to utilize this, which is ,cook some rice which ever kind you like , spread into bottom of a glass dish that you can cover, put salmon on top ,seasoning on top, cover, cook, and there you go. 22. Im probably in line with what you outlined Pete, actually spot on. Things have a way of cycling back around as to which type and when depending on the season. Some are for the new challenge and learning new skills , and some are to bring you back to a different time in your life with family and friends ,or when the only money problem you had was lunch money in school. I enjoy it all ,but mostly when my two boys are with me. A few years ago I was a lurker on this site trying to figure out how to troll on lake O, so one day I signed up and introduced myself , and one of the first guys that responded welcoming me aboard was "whaler 1" , Bill may not remember but on one of my first trips out on the lake trolling with my boys he texted me to see how I was making out, and here I am 500 plus posts later and catching fish , and adding to my addiction.
  23. I would like to add to all the above advice which is good stuff, as I use my trolling motor to steer with the big motor locked straight , but to be sure I always have enough battery , once lines are set using the trolling motor , turn it off and troll as you normally would have and when a fish hits I hit the remote on my bow mount that takes over while Im reeling and netting , dealing with fish , and resetting lines. At least until you figure out how long your batteries will last.
  24. Seven weeks off and still dialed them in. Im sure we'll be seeing more posts.
  25. Spot on. The person that started the thread asked what kind of boat for salmon fishing,
