I have caught a fair amount of Smallmouths with sores on them It kind of looks like they were foul hooked but coming out of the lake from winter I would think not . I hope it isn't VHS again . Got another this morning with it .

Seems like what happens , with subsidies , welfare , EBT , Medicade or anything else the gov gets their hands in is it's great for a while . Gets things rolling or through bad times . But then the people that get it begin to depend on it . And when it gets taken away , for what ever reason , those that take it away are the bad guys . When in reality , those benefits should not have been given to begin with .

Not all of us have a big ass . Larry , if I had your money , I'd throw mine away . I am seriously thinking about getting some big oars . I fish out of my 12 ftr all the time and I row that . So why not ?

That trolling route looks like a road map to Georgia. If I'm spending all the money on everything associated with the outing , I'm not going to worry about a gallon of gas .

And that's a ridiculous statement . If you go out of port and just go with the wind , you could get pushed down 15 miles or so by the wind and current . Then you have to battle the waves at full power on plane to get back to port . Not well thought out .

It amazes me that people are going to complain about higher fuel prices for 6 figure trucks and boats . Believe me I'm not liking it . Agree or disagree , we are in a war . Back in my father's day they had food rationing , couldn't get tires or even fish hooks for that matter . Everything went to the war effort . I hope nothing bad happens because I really don't think we have the stomach for it. If you you can't afford the fuel , maybe a Magda pro instead of Saltist . Or use the lures you have instead of new stuff . And here's a novel idea , eat the fish you catch .

A select few getting rich ? Dude , that's getting old . Is the man keeping you down ? Most of us would be considered rich in other countries and even this country . We own houses boats etc , etc .A lot of us have basements full of fishing stuff and settle for nothing but the best and in some countries guys wrap line around a beer can with a hook and a rock for a sinker. The success and fortune is there for the taking if you work hard and are smart and have a little luck You can fish anytime and do what you want . So count your blessings

Those panels loose efficiency each year . Every acre of farm land taken is one acre less of food , cattle produced . And then what happens ? Prices rise. . And what environmental hazards are created producing and installing those panels ? Because there are some . And what toxic waste will be created when they are decomisioned? Hopefully there is a bond in pleace to ensure that the Solar companies don't suddenly go bankrupt and stick the cleanup to taxpayers . Electric is certainly the future but for now fossil fuels are most economically prudent . Emissions are not nearly as bad as they use to be. And each year get better . And NY and other states have relaxed the mandate of all electric by certain dates because it's realized it's unsustainable and unrealistic now . And probably the right people got rich enough on the grant money already given out .

Man it's a good thing electric bills haven't gone up .

If they did reduce outflow , that is what happened when we got flooded a few years ago . They closed he gates and it rained and kept raining .

If you haven't tried slide divers , you should . I got 2 of the smaller ones at a sale and they get me down to the 20 to 40ft range nicely . Great with a j plug for stagers . I like the 35 to 60 ft leads and think it helps me I have 4 slide diver setups . When the fish are 70 ft and up , that's all I use .

Looks like the lake has come up maybe 4 " the last few days .
