  1. Thanks for the explanation... now I know what you mean. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Hi Justin, just curious why you consider the Kitech plastics to be more convenient than Gulp minnows? I understand price. Is it that they more readily available?
  3. White VMC jighead and a 4" Gulp watermelon & pearl minnow. I was out there again tonight knowing the weather pattern is going downhill from here and only got a Sheep-head and 2 yellow perch. Failed to get a set on a couple of more takes. Putting the boat in storage and getting out the bow out now. Good luck if you continue to go for them.
  4. Fished on I-Bay this evening with a friend. Caught my first eye from the bay around 5 pm. It was a nice evening to be out. My friend landed a monster 33 inch catfish as well. Thanks for leaving a few Devo and for sharing some of your knowledge on this forum. Good start to build on. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Probably between 30 and 40 thousand! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. I agree Mink. Best way to learn is by doing and then adjusting. Reading will help to speed up the learning process on new water though.
  7. What I like reading from the DEC reports on lakes where they do angler diaries is the summary data. It is pretty informative. Basically lets me know what to expect in terms of type of fish / hour of fishing invested. The old 2009 I-Bay report even reports the walleye catch specifically for night fishing. I find their reports helpful but I like to look at current reports because waters can change fast in a year or two. Maybe I will ask for the 2015 updates. Thanks for the reply Lucky13.
  8. Is it new this year? The one that came up in my search was 2009.
  9. Awesome. Big bait, big fish. Thanks. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Wow, beautiful fish. How shallow were you fishing? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Wondering if anyone has been out for eyes on the bay recently. Are they still there? Thinking of going. Thanks. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Wow, must have been a fun evening. Headed over to Erie tomorrow. Bite seems good all over. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Nice work on the river eyes men. They fight much harder than lake eyes. Gotta try to get up there this month. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Hi Devo, I think the reason there are very few chiming in with tips and info may be that not many people fish for eyes on the bay? I live in Rochester but travel to Erie or Oneida to fish for eyes. I have never caught an eye on the bay so I did not reply. I have enjoyed reading this thread though. I plan to give it a try sometime. There were some old threads and posts that indicated casting sticks at night into the shallows may be effective?
  15. Nice pictures Lyk2fish. Way to go. I may have to try it again soon. How deep were you fishing?
  16. Nice catch. Must have been fun. Looks like the big one was stuffed full of something. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. New physical therapy perscription: Troll the river for 2 to 3 hours, 3 to 5 times a week!! Stop only if shoulder starts to hurt or if walleye are greater than 10 pounds!
  18. Great to see you are back in action. I don't think the walleyes are that happy to see you though! Nice limits. Hope the bouncers didn't stress your shoulder too much.
  19. Great report rolmops. Great results, especially for no electronics. I was there last week and did some trolling for trout on a few days. I never got out early for the prime time and caught just 1 laker. Unfortunately I found the fleas to be pretty heavy. One day we went for perch and did well. Great fish dinner. I was trolling spoons for trout in the 40 to 50 foot range on dipseys. Glad you did well. We're you using spoons? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
