  1. I just can't believe some fishing addict hasn't bought these by now. like I said I would love to be able to sort through these and pick out what I think would work for eyes on Erie. but if I still fished for salmon, I would buy these because even the ones I think would work for eyes would probably work great for salmon.
  2. I plan on getting a 12v 60 amp starting battery for my boat and was thinking of getting a charger like this which is 199.00 on their web site. anyone that uses lithium batteries for trolling motor or electronics can save 139.00 plus tax by buying this charger. I don't think I will need a charger for my lithium battery as it will only be used in my boat and charged with the alternator. but you better hurry as I'm thinking about buying it to charge my battery during the winter months. woops i just noticed this is for 24v batteries and not for 12v. but if you have 2 batteries you can hook them together for 24v then charge both of them.
  3. i think your right it sounds like it would be too much for our little dog. so I'll pass.
  4. I'm not sure about using one of these to try and stop my dog from keeping barking after I tell her to stop but i am thinking about trying it. i have a small Maltese dog and need to know if the collar will work on a 10# dog? if it will work on my small dog I will give it a try if you'll take 90.00 and then pay to ship it to me?
  5. the Daiwa wilderness trolling m/l rods I got from fishusa.com have been working great. for running the small diver, I recommend the m/l 8'. but if you are going to use the magnum divers you might want to get the medium. I run the 8' m/l on Erie for walleye with lite bite slide divers with the small rings without using the slide on them. they are about the same size as a regular dipsey. most use 30# but I started with 65# and haven't found a reason to change.
  6. you did a great job on your boat it really looks good for an old boat. with a 14' boat I would make sure the weather was good with a good forecast before even thinking about going out on big water. it doesn't take a lot to swamp a small boat. at the first sign the water was getting rough I would head for the harbor. and I wouldn't venture to far from the harbor or close to shore where i could beach it I needed to. on calm days on Erie's western basin many days small aluminum fishing boats would go out to the intake at coolie canal which was 4 miles from shore. a few of them would go past the intake and drift back in. so it is very possible to do it, but you need to make sure it's safe.
  7. they are a great place for your muzzleloader supplies. you might also think about trying the powerbelt elr bullets. they shoot the best of any bullets that i have shot in my cva accura v2 45 long range and my 50 encore. they are heavy but the long aerodynamics of the elongated bullets make them ideal for hunting deer. i haven't shot a deer yet but they should have plenty of knockdown power to bring a deer down fast.
  8. i would have to have shipping because i live in east central IN and you are many miles away. i already have one for me but thinking about getting owe for my overweight granddaughter. i have a summit viper she can use but these are much easier to get in and out of plus they've got so much more room for moving around while in the stand. i dont have a clue how much it would cost to ship but it shouldn't be that bad shipping priority mail at the post office.
  9. it is on sale at Cabela's for 349.00 with free shipping. will you sell yours for 300.00 and pay for shipping?
  10. great price on your motor. do you mean it has the starter for electric start? what are you saying about being hooked up for electric start? I bought an old 2002 9.9 for 1350.00 and thought I had got a great deal but if yours had been available at that time I would have spent the extra money and bought your motor. does your motor have power tilt?
  11. muzzle-loaders.com has the v-2 nitride on sale for something like 559.00 with the Burris 3x9x40 scope right now. it comes with a soft case, or you can get it with a hard case for 609.00. you might just want to visit cva.com which has them at different prices depending on which one you want. some are out of stock, but they have one with v2 nitride with the 28" barrel for 420.00 with the standard stock and no scope.
  12. yes they were charged with felony charges for theft by cheating in a tournament. and other charges were pending the last article i read on it. with the value of the boats and cash involved it should be grand theft by deception. plus, the dnr had charges of there own'
  13. in IN as long as she is still underage when she buys the license, she is good to go. back when I bought my lifetime license here it covered everything. I was still hunting bow season muzzleloader season, and our gun season, and all my licensees were covered even my doe tags. it wasn't long before I was hunting for free. I had been thinking for some time that I should get one, then the price almost doubled. so, before they went up again, I bought mine. i don't believe they offer these licensees anymore.
  14. this is a great offer, 250.00 for a good used rigger is a good price. and the second one should be worth getting a new board if you can find one, if that's the only thing wrong with it. then you would have 2 riggers.
  15. fyi i purchased the prop anmd have it on my motor but haven't tried it yet, but plan on doing it sat. it was the same pitch as mine but was 13 7/8x17p where my aluminum was 13 1/4x17p.
  16. is the 6'3" from the floor to the bottom of the top? how wide is the mounting points on the top?
  17. good deal, i always loved fishing myself to ever run a charter. so, I totally understand your choice. really hope you enjoy your boat and being able to choose when you fish and who fishes with you.
  18. you couldn't ask for a better day on your first trip. as for going alone i use to fish alone a bunch. i just loved fishing more than most of my friends. I fished the intracoastal by a bridge in ft pierce Fl by myself a few times. then I got older and made a trip by myself. I had dropped anchor and letting the strong currents drift me back along the bridge piling the boat started to bang the piling when I pushed off from it I got to far over and ended up falling in the water. it took everything I had to fight the current and get back to my boat. after reaching the boat a just hung on to the transom and motor for maybe 15 minutes resting until I could pull myself in the boat. when I got home and told the wife she told me that was the end of fishing alone. that was a few yrs. ago and I haven't fished alone again.
  19. there is some of those i would like using for walleye on Erie. but just too many that would never see water for me to buy. but if a guy fishes for salmon but makes a trip to Erie for walleye this would be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
  20. the boat you got is still a nice boat that could be used for a 1 to 3 man charter for a little less money. a lot of guys have trouble getting 5 or 6 guys wanting to charter out. but being semi retired you can still pick your days to just have fun. and congrats on getting such a nice ride.
  21. I would make sure I had power going to the charger.
  22. why didn't he just keep his plates and registration? so if he gets a trailer, he can just transfer them, if he was good enough to let you use his plates to trailer it home then I would contact him and see if he wants them back. if he does you should mail them to him at your cost. you should have taken the plates off your trailer and took them with you to put on the trailer.
  23. you can get a perco battery switch which can run on battery 1 or 2 or both and off which shuts the power off to both batteries. i used one in my boat for many yrs. but in the boat, we just bought I think I will just use an isolator to keep both batteries charged. you can get the perco switch at amazon or usually on eBay. check both for the best price.
  24. is the price a typo? if not i am 1st to come and look at it, just tell me when and where?

for sale : usa 1983 BAHA 26ft fisherman

that is one really nice boat for an 83. I thought the price was a little high for a 83 but it looks to be much newer, and in great shape. if I hadn't just bought an 89 sylvan last fall, I would have been very interested at 10,000 and even more so at 9,000. good luck on a quick sale.
