So I wanted to introduce my new company to the LOU community www.legacyrodarmor.com

I am now a just over a year in and just want to say thanks to those who have already shown their support. I started the company on the idea of creating custom rod sleeves that actually fit our specific application... long trolling rods. I have bought numerous ones in the past but none of them ever fit right and they always lacked personality and or proper function. I now manufacture and stock certain sizes but more importantly I have the ability to create custom orders with colors and lengths specific to the customers need. I have 6 simple stock colors mentioned on the website (black, white, yellow, green, blue, red) but have the ability for just about any color. I am willing build custom orders for any rod size including ice rods!

I also have my "Stubby" and "Black Mamba" rod armor series which are available anytime on the website. The "Stubby" series is designed for broken down rods and the "Black Mamba" series is for full stored rods. These are slightly oversized in diameter and available only in one color black but are simple solution for rod protection.

Along with protective rod sleeves I have created a few other products that us Great Lakes and Finger Lakes trollers need.

I have fish towels, fish counters, fish bats, net releases, rod butlers, tippet holders, etc.

Back in May, when I found out Rob started this business, I asked him for a solution to keep my rods safe and tangle free when I have them stored in my cabin. I had been looking for a rod sock short enough to fit when the 2-piece rods were broken down. I stack them broken down on a bunk bed, and the reel handles always found the fishing line on another rod and it became a disaster. He was already thinking about the Stubby, so he brought down a sample a few days later and the rest is history. Now with a stubby and his rod butlers I can dig out rods on the bottom of the pile and avoid messes.

I like this stuff, Rob, but wonder whether you have some idea for rod socks to fit ice fishing rods? Scotty and I were just talking about this over the weekend. The woven tubing is okay, but if you leave a jigging rap attached to the hook keeper, you're catching it.

I've also seen neoprene socks for ice rods...they seem bulky. I don't feel like there's a great commercially available solution yet.

yup i can make any size including the smallest of ice rods. Scott inquired about it last winter. I literally custom make everything so any size is achievable. For ice rods its 1" material. I have green, red, white, black, blue as stock colors. I just need overall lengths or the rods themselves.

I really think there is a big market for this in the ice fishing world. The ones out now are too long. A shorter sleeve with a longer bungee to the reel is ideal.
