Made the trip up Yesterday afternoon with my son to the North country for Youth Turkey weekend. We were greeted with great weather and plenty of birds to play with after putting a handful of birds to roost we made a solid plan for this morning. After casting a few calls and moving into a better position 3 Toms broke away and came into easy shotgun range. My son put the Mossberg 835 to work and executed a great shot. High fives and more memories made πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

A nice quick hunt this morning! I’m pretty sure I pulled the trigger just before 6AM as the Tom β€œdominated” my full strut tom decoy. I actually shot him while he was standing on top of the decoy! My son was loving it. He kept laughing and I had to tell him to be quiet lol. Really cool hunt and more memories made!

Opening day success in the North Country. Didn't get chance to roost anything the evening before so I made a decision to go back into a historical spot ive had good luck in. As the morning progressed I realized I couldn't have been in a more perfect Setup with hens roosted behind me Toms out in front. No need for any calling this morning I let nature take its course and watched the Toms parade on by at 30yds easy comfortable range for the mossberg 835 great end to day 1 and more memories made πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²Β

Ryan boys have been out as well. Tommy got his girlfriend one yesterday and got one himself today. Billy brought a new hunter out this morning and got him a gobbler as well.Β

A friend and I had a trip planned to go up north turkey hunting last season, but my wife and I had a baby come earlier than expected, so the trip got pushed back another year. This year however we made it happen! Three days of camping on state forest land and we got to hunt some of the most beautiful turkey land you have ever seen. Rolling hills, grass and chiseled fields, finger ridges, a river running through the property. Like something from a movie. It all came together and ended in a double on Saturday. One just before 6 and one just after 7 sitting in the same setup. We got to hear and see it all, spitting, drumming, gobbling, yelps, cuts, full strut toms, hens, jakes, a tom beat up the decoy, double beard. The full turkey hunting experience. Great times with great friends. A trip I won’t soon forget.

Made the trip up to the North Country with my Boss for the weekend andΒ We were greeted with great weather and plenty of birds to play with. After putting a handful of birds to roost Saturday evening we made a solid plan for Sunday morning. After fly down Just a few soft yelps, clucks and purrs was all that was needed to break the Tom away from his 6 hens and present a shot for my boss at 30yds. High fives smiles and more memories made with the potential for a promotion as added bonus lol..

I was driving on my way to work and came across this guy. I've never seen one. A wild white turkey in the middle of nowhere. No houses around nothing. Pretty cool to see, hes real beat up though
