Anyone running 8" paddles on medium light rods?

I have medium and medium light Talora 7' historically ran spoons on ML, 8" flashers on Med. Would be nice to just carry ML since I have 4 of them. Forgot to try it out this weekend. Anyone running the medium lights with flashers? Thanks.

The rod isn't towing the flasher , the rigger is .

 

So once it's on the rigger , there is no pressure on the rod . When the fish is hooked , there is no add( maybe some ) added pressure on the rod . 

I would use 20# min , or just direct to the 30# which is what I use on my dedicated flasher rods . 

 

ML mighty not be the best option , but it will work . Just have to play them out .

No fleas where I fish but I use sunline fishing line and they just added a flea line . My guess is it is good as their normal lines are great.
