Went out with Pat . Started 75 ft . Temp down over 100 . Marks down there but no takers . Made our way out to over 200 . Not a lot marks out there but we did manage 4 teenage salmon . No hits above 100 ft .

I'm wondering if we are at the start of the bigger kings starting to head to their spawning streams staging areas which a lot are on the North shore . Historically , this is the time of year we start wondering where the kings went .

If you find them , you do well . But finding them is the chore .

It’s just about on. I have been running JPlugs and kings are crushing them. Love running them. Skippers leave them alone. Love the way kings strike them. Violent!

IT is the start of the migration.  Here today gone tomorrow.  Then the next pod shows up.  Unfortunately, the end is in sight.   :-(

Caught a 10lb male yesterday that was getting dark!  Not the pretty silver and purple hues.  But his belly was still full of alewife’s!  Seasons changing soon!  Stream gear treestands and hopefully less mosquitoes!

Usually east of Sandy in the 250 foot range toward Braddocks Bay is where you will catch up with them as that seems to be where a bunch of currents join up and in my experience , that is where they like to stage before going closer to the Genny.  Going into September, the cohos and the steelies like that area as well.
