Lots of reports- Derby??

I have spent some time reading the recent fishing reports. Although everyone seems to be hitting lots of fish- I have yet to hear of anything big enough to make the minimun weigh in for the derby.

Has anyone caught a decent sized fish for this season yet??

There have been a few browns over the minimum caught. We weighed in several over 9 lbs in our brown trout derby in Fair Haven over the weekend. The winner was just shy of 12 lbs. I heard of several more caught over that weight from guys on the VHF.

I have heard reports of some big lakers up at the N.river area. I have boated a few browns that could weight in here of Rochester and 1 steelie. There out there just gotta get 'em

Lots of fish but no derby type fish out of Hughes that I have heard of.
