Fishing out from Sodus Bay today...got started around 8 a.m. and caught a nice steelie in about 100 FOW a little east of the bluffs....seems there were a lot of them around today from the chatter on the radio...everyone was having luck fishing the top water.

Headed out to deeper water when this big king hit the rigger line 40 feet down...out of nowhere! ...around the 140 foot mark. Green spoon.

We didn't have a scale with us...but it sure felt like it was in the 20 something range!

Great day on the water!

Mikell,

Now I am going to ask, did you have your Summer LOC ticket? If not get it. By the looks of that fish you might have been in the lead, along with possible bid fish of the day. This derby is running until mid July, so you still have time. Congrats on the awesome Shark. Good Luck.

.... well, you know it happens every year, somebody catches a nice fish... and doesn't have a ticket!

This time it was us.

We usually are but, had an engine rebuild and boat problems every weekend

since April .We didnt think we would get much time in... and we havent but, this one just happened across our downrigger this AM. Darn!!!

We feel like kicking ourselves!
