Recommended Posts

Hmmm....just in time before they lost 8000 dollars in license sales during the bass tourny....

Hey Rod, you guys should get your fine back too, salmon fishermen are special aren't they? :happy2:

OK, right now enter the number on your cell phone, eh.

The fine is $1,000 but that may be for each person. Visa may not work, exchange may not happen if you are paying with USA dollars and the way Washington is running things, more money may be needed.

Have a pen and paper handy on your boat to record your entry number they give you. Also have your pasengers names, addresses and citizenship handy when you make the call.

Your boat may be seized for collateral for the fine, so have an arrangement for transportation home available.

Cell phones are GPS tracked so make sure you are still in USA waters when calling.

After you enter the border, your cell phone can be pinged to quickly find you. THEY will always know where you are today.

DWI's, you or a passenger, are not allowed across the border and alcohol in your boat is not tolerated in Canada.

If you are directed to a phone, make sure you have enough fuel to return home after fishing all day. Canadian fuel prices are steep.

Proper ID is passports, etc. if they come out to check on you.

$1,000 is the minimum fine.
