Seneca 12/3 & 12/4

Recommended Posts

Had a few days of vacation to burn and they were calling for half decent temps and winds this past week, so my friend Charlie and I decided to go to Seneca for two days.  Got in touch with Bobby Fuller and he met us at the lake with an order of FLT spoons in various colors.  Got them all in the "razor' thickness.  Got on the water about 10:30 Tuesday and started to mark a lot of fish between 35-50'.  Put out two wire dipseys at 100' and 150' and two riggers down from 35 to 55'  Also ran a three color off of an inline board and a 6 color down the chute,  The whole trip we saw fish bewteen the 30-50' but only took one fish on the dipsey and everything else came on the chute rod on Tuesday.  Mix of LLs, lakers, browns and rainbows (no pics of rainbow).  Ended the day at 4:00 going 7 for 9.  Wednesday we got a 7:30 start and had a LL on before we could get the second rod set.  Dropped the riggers deep and picked a couple of lakers, but they wanted it REAL slow so we chose to speed things up and target the trout and salmon.  The whole arsenal was taking fish on Wednesday and the preferred depth was 35' and about 2.6 mph SOG.  FLT Alpha Alwife in blue was the hot spoon for the trip.  Lost a huge laker when it managed to get into a wire and another line and flopped around at the back of the boat while we were trying to untangle the mess.  Other than that, all smaller fish. Ended up going 14 for 15 Wednesday and got off of the lake about 3:30.  Nice weather with a good friend and cooperative fish made for a great few days.

P.S. All  fish returned to be caught again!
