mupped spoons???

what are mupp rigs or mupped spoons, just kind of unfamiliar with what these are. any info would be great.

Mup Rig...It's simple and sometimes deadly. On one or two deep rigs, usually just the bottom rigger. Use this set-up...thread a black Add-a-line release on to your mono which comes off your fishing rod before you tie on your swiveled spoon. Then hook up and position your target spoon 10' to 12' back behind the ball. Then lower the ball just below the surface of the water keeping the Add-a-line release device in your left hand with the mono sliding thru it. Stop the ball when it is 5' below the Add-a-line. Snap on your 6' leader (a swiveled larger attractor spoon) and jerk the leader to lock it into place. Then lower to desired depth (46° for kings). The current hot set-up, now and last season, is a lazer ladder backed Mini Streak target spoon trailing a Pirate 55 lazer spook just above and ahead of it. is there anyway you could get a picture of this?Ihave a simple mind and all this stuff confuses me :? im not sure what you ment by add a black add a line release

its easy and add a line is not nessary , MUP mag larger spoon , 28 smaller spoon , mag goes on top mag up mupped get it , ok take ur smaller spoon the 28 run it back , hook it too ur release drop it down 5ft use one of your free slider rigs and with a ruber band afix it too the line and drop it in the water with the mag spoon and lower down too temp 42 too 54 the easy way too rememer it is mup mag up , works great and remeber too match ur patters and the smaller one is falling back and the fish get him , The target spoon ! hope this helps ya a little , J Ross

I've run the sliders before but how do you hook it too a rubber band to keep it from sliding up . And what size rubberbands do you use are they just your plain old officemax bands or somthing differant I've heard it alot but have never seen how they are rigged

2 ways to do this. You can half hitch the rubber band to the rigger cable and then attach the swivel from your slider to the main line and then the rubber band. I believe you get a better hook up this way. Or you can half hitch the rubber band to the main line and attach the slider to the main line and the rubber band, so it will not slide up or down. Give it a shot. try both ways and see which one you like better. Good Luck.
