I have a question regarding east wind in spring top line fishing. I’ve had terrible luck with kings or anything in July and August with East winds.
Because I’m fishing so shallow at this time of year with top lines only does the east wind effect fishing like it does later in the year?

thanks

You can still catch fish in an East wind in the spring.  Because most of the water is cold already, those cold rollovers have less of a dramatic effect on fishing as if it occurs in June.  Chase the colored water West on an East wind and target the easier high fish. The ones that go to bottom on an East wind are too hard to turn
