WOW! That is really bad news. I wonder are they in Irondequoit Bay and/or Sodus Bay.

Not easy there. When I was healthier I would go for a week in the summer and another in the fall. I would be happy to get one per trip. Lots of northerns keep it interesting.

Hey all! I just got to wondering about ..what .. how many represents a good season fishing Muskie on the St Lawrence ? For the average angler like me .. 1 would be great. My question here is for the hard core guys that know what they’re doin . I recently talked with a guy that fishes em hard on the upper Niagara. He said he and his main fishin buddy hit 40 one year recently up there. I know a relatively young guy that got about a dozen a couple years ago mainly fishing the Massena area. Other than those just the odd one here and there.

I have a pair of cannon optimum down riggers. No real boat scratches or or dents & dings 1600 for the pair, one has a screen with some dead pixels shown in the pics, but everything works great. Gimbals swivel bases and covers are already spoken for this is for just the pair of optimums, power cables, rod holders and hand cranks, cannon bases. Priced to sell. I have the transducer also for an extra 50View the full article

Gambler, I was out on the Fire rescue boat Sat in Braddocks and one of the guys said the water chestnuts were taking over Braddocks. This guy also happens to live on long pond and is dealing with them there. Rick

Amazon is killing all these brick and mortar stores . Most everything is 1/3 less and delivered to your door soon . I feel for the tackle shops . You can shop during lunch and the stuff is on your doorstep a few days later or the next day . Not worth the drive to the store . Many times I gone to the store and they didn't have what I needed . I went to West Marine occasionally . I don't think their prices were unreasonable . Costs money to run a business .

You can probably leave them on the sides w/o a problem. Some guys leave them out and in the rod holders. I figure "out of sight out of mind" so I put them away. You shouldn't have any problem - lots of tournaments use the marina so fair number of transients. Most guys throw a towel over their electronics. If you're there for a weekend should be people around too. I'm on C Dock so see if I'm around.

On the question of security at Chadwick Bay Marina in Dunkirk, I’ve not had issues in the 8 years I’ve been there. I keep boat locked and don’t leave rods out. They just changed to keypads this year. Cleaning station is convenient. Fishing has been “lights out” again this year with the natives and with migratory fish starting to show up will be more fish around.

Went straight out of Irondequoit Bay started in 80 ft of water riggers set at 40 and 60 trolled out to 150 ft nothing water temperature 54 to 55°, went 5 miles east in about 140 ft of water between 130 and 140 ft of water found temps about 47 48° went 5 for 6 all teenagers except for one slob lake trout 34 in as big around as a 5 gallon bucket old fat boy. All fish came on the same lure pictured and all came at 110 to 115 ft down over 130 to 140 ft.

The WM in Watertown is closing too i bought many items from that store and the Manager , Ted was the best Their prices and shipping policy were their demise a large company like WM was surely able to buy in quantities large enough to get a large discount, yet their prices remained much higher than most retail outlets. I will miss them
