  1. Past hour
  2. Went to pick up a fishing partner at 4 a.m., he was not up and did not answer his phone, so I went solo. First line in at 5:35. I ran one rigger and two dipseys. Went 3 for 4 (only kept one). I had lines in by 8 a.m. Rigger down 105' took two fish on a mag silver carbon 14. A wire dipsey with an NBK took a fish while letting it out (3 setting at about 136'), and the same dipsey took a fish (I lost) out 230'. Fish were caught inside 170 f.o.w. It is always fun when you are solo and have to net a fish between the rigger and a dipsey because it won't cooperate (it just liked that side of the boat even when I turned). The fleas are here, but not bad yet. A Father's Day Dinner (and then some)
  3. Wow! Why did I drive past Buffalo to fish the Catt???? lol. ๐Ÿ˜‚. I suppose with a handle like yellowpike4 you probably catchโ€™em. What kind of program was working, sticks or worms?
  4. Today
  5. Fished from 7-11. Started setting rods in 170 heading NW, had a decent pick out to 210. Made a big u-turn and headed south east slowly back to 175. Hit a double on a diver and 10 color. Fun times when it's just my son and I and trying to keep everything untangled and the boat straight. We managed ok, thankfully, and landed both fish within a minute or two of each other. 8 for 11 overall, all spoon bite, a few diver shots, the rest were a split between 10 color and downriggers (set at 100 and 90). Best spoon was purple clown, then carbon 14 and mixed veggie. Great day of fishing! Started getting a bit rough around 10. We started pulling lines around 10:30, leaving the 2 downriggers for last. Both hit, great finale! A shout out to all the dad's, hopefully you got out fishing somewhere. And a shout out to the guy at the launch that helped me wrestle the boat straight on the trailer in the wind!
  6. we fished out of buffalo all week did boated over 100 fish
  7. Struggle bus for walleye this morning. We were in search mode all day. We tried a couple of inshore structures with no walleyes. Plenty of nice smallmouth and big sheep but not what we were looking for. Stickbait program scrapped, Rack and stack to plan C - offshore shoal. Worm harness on bottom bouncers, riggers and snap weight lines. We managed 4 walleye and three jumbo perch for the box BUT way too many sheep to cycle through. Most of the boats ran towards Dunkirk and worked the 65โ€™ band or deeper. Today was a good day for total biomass but a challenging day to create fish fry memories.

These have a Samโ€™s Pro release on the front and offshore OR-16 clip on the back. No issues I just donโ€™t use them. $75 picked up in Mexico or Rome. https://www.hookeduptackleshop.com/product-page/ziggy-z-board-copper-planer-board
  13. Launched about 6 and had lines in by 6:30 straight out front in 100 for. Headed straight north. Started marking fish and a little bait about 200. Had to misses on the low rigger with carbon 14. Cranked up the release and really loaded the rod after that. Took a 5 pound king right after turning back south. Back into 120 then back north again. Nothing but fleas. Changed up a few things and turned back south again. Tangled both the low driver's on that turn but got lucky the wire was fine. Saw a mark and just stated saying something when the port low diver got hammered. Was working that and the starboard rigger went. Dad grabbed that and started brining it in. The wire had a 18 pound king on. The rigger was a 5 pound choho. Ended up 3 for 6 and had to head back in to set up for my daughter's 4th birthday party. All hits from 100-120 down Carbon 14 glow back 11" white/chrome uv flasher with a purple freedom tackle cut bait hearing hard bait back about 24" Dreamweaver uv alwife fish USA exclusive where the baits of the day for us

  18. Went out to try to get on the board in June as I do most of my Muskie fishing in the fall. Well about half hour into my jigging pass I nailed a nice 37 inch fish. Hit on the bottom of the jig stroke and it felt like the thump of a crappie or sunfish hitting a hair jig. It was so confusing that it took me a second to realize what was happening and then I ripped into the fish. He came up and did three full jumps out of the water! It was an exciting fight and I was lucky to land him. After some quick pics and a bump he was off swimming strong! Only action for the day, but it was a solid outing!
  19. Got out for a few hours with my old man (87 yrs old.) Good bite infront of the creek 180-220 fow 90-100 on the riggers. 250 on divers. Bunt bread was the winner with Carbon a couple bites less. Caught everything but a brown and a laker. At least 20 bites. Lost a few with a few skippers in the mix. Kept a few for some coworkers.
