  1. Bumpin' it up! Tomorrow night boyz. Who will be there?
  2. You lucky duck! I am trying for this weekend. Nice job!
  3. Typically the bass aren't up on their shallow water pre-spawn areas till the water hits 50 degrees. The eastern bay at the north end of I bay can get very good for LM in the Spring. You may be a little pre-mature, but at least your out! Chances are you might encounter a battle or two with a nice Brown trout!
  4. That was good! Dave, you can count on The Yankee Troller Fishing Team to enter this derby!
  5. There is a good chance i will be out there next weekend. Kayak, Bass Boat, or trolling from an aluminum. I can't take cabin fever anymore.
  6. All of this over a Laker question!
  7. I plan on being out next weekend! See you out there!
  8. Brian - I wish I kept the IM from you about lawnmowers for downriggers on my boat last year. And now in 2010 you have them on your boat and in your signature!
  9. I think this event gets better every year. It is money WELL spent, and a chance to curb the cabin fever we have all had since our boats went into storage. I didn't really get a chance to walk around and see everyone's booths mainly because I was shooting the bull with a lot of LOU members and other fisherman. Great job team LOTSA, and I look forward to the 2011 Expo.
  10. Rich and the gang are right, you cant beat the 47ADP's for the price. If your getting spooled on Daiwa 47 size reels your drag is too loose or the boat is trolling too fast. I know Billy V tested them extensively as his wire diver reels for 3 years and never had one issue with them.
  11. Hey bud, I think you were at the last Genesee Charter Boat Association meeting. First off, I'm going to have to hookup with you for some Kayak fishing. Secondly, if you have a car I might be able to use you as an observer for both the Orleans and Wayne County Pro-Am. You would make sure another team is following the rules basically. We pay our observers, and you would get a chance to watch some great tournament boats on Lake Ontario fish for Salmon and Trout. Let me know if your interested.
  12. jimski2 - I was told I wanted to catch blues. That yellows were smaller. Is that true? I dont eat fish, so I am going more for the battle.
  13. From what I can see Cape Cod seems to be the place to go. I guess I dont have a specific way i want to catch them, I just want to battle one for an hour or maybe 2.
  14. Would love to hear your guys stories or experiences with tuna charters you took. Specifically Bluefin. I am looking to book a tuna trip in 2011.
  15. Musky, Pretty sure this was his captain or charter: http://www.bigfishcharters.com/ Looks like about $1200 up to 6 guys per day.
  16. Hey, I am looking into a Bluefin Tuna trip for 2011. Did you guys go for the gold or did you book the trip for the schoolers? I want to catch a few, but i wouldn't mind hooking into a slob either.
  17. (1) 300' copper combo. Penn 340 spooled up and ready to fish with a Daiwa Heartland 9'6" Dipsey Diver rod. Used One Season. $175
  18. (2) Daiwa Heartland 9'6" Dipsey Diver Rods for sale. Great for Copper or Dipseys. Only 2 years old and used for copper line. $40 for the pair, and they come with an extra tip section. SOLD (1) Shimano TDR 7' Rod for sale. Used for chute copper for the last two seasons. A nice short rod for a chute rod. $15 (2) Eagle Claw Water Eagle Rods 8'. Used as short core rods for a few seasons. $25 for the pair.
  19. Daiwa also came out with an Accudepth series rod for 2010. I used to run the Heartland 7'6" ML rods for Spring BT and they even took a few Kings and held up quite well. I sold them this Winter because Daiwa introduced the Accudepth series rods and they had a 8' ML model. I thought I might like a few more inches on those set-ups! This series is priced below the Heartlands which typically run between $30-$40. I am un-aware of the availability of these at this point because they are so new. Im sure someone online has them.
  20. I do not use the torpedos. When they came out I was already vested in a few copper combos. Didn't want to start over with a learning curve when I got the copper down. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  21. Im just playin....most do have that hole.
  22. So I can stack two of them and run 30lbs off my riggers to fish down 400'!
