Any hyd system/pump you install will need the 3rd static/return line added to your helm. The helm has a port for it but is not utilized for normal steering. The new Simrad system you are refering to is the same unit as the Lowrance utilizing the same Nac-1 computer & can be controlled with the Simrad GO5 - 6 or7 units as well as the Lowrance Gen 2 or 3.
