  1. Scottb, The ice is really spotty. The ice arund the docks is very dangerous. I walked out there yesterday and found anywhere from 5" - open spots.
  2. $700+. That had to have some huge filets on it. Just think about the contaminents the bioaccumulated in that thing!
  3. I do my part and have tag soup every season. You can't blame me for this one!
  4. Sandy Creek (the one in Hamlin). I have fished all over Lake Ontario and think Sandy is the top port. Awesome brown action from March to September, the kings are there in great numbers from early May to the fall run, Steelies from May to late October, Lakers anytime. The Oak is close but they don't have the laker fishing like we do off of Sandy.
  5. Vexilar Fl 18's are 300 and change. If you get a Vex, make sure you get the S cable for it.
  6. For that shallow, you are better off with an underwater camera.
  7. Yes I was. The ice is a solid 3" of clear ice. The water is low but the fishing was good. The ice is good all the way out to the point. I did not ventue out any further than that. There is one small open spot in front of Buttonwood Creek.
  8. No it always looks that way!
  9. I have not used the launch in a month. I use a buddies boat that lives on the lake. There was a bass tourney down there over the weekend and people were using it so it should be ok. Also the docks have been out for a while. Hope this helps.
  10. Have fun getting over the boarder. I would rather fish Conesus, Honeoye, Canadice or I-bay. Close to home and awesome fishing.
  11. last night. All of the walleyes in Conesus are that fat. When I cut it open, it's stomach was empty.
  12. These bass were caught drop shoting in 25 fow. Smallies This walleye was caught throwing a stickbait at night from my buddies yard. Walleye
  13. I have a Ready Rig icefishing back pack for sale. It is in good shape and only 1 season on it. I want $25 for it and local pick up only. Here is a link to Cabelas showing the back pack. http://www.cabelas.com/prod-1/0029904119247a.shtml
  14. Gander Mountain in Henrietta (Rochester) has some stuff out so far. I can't speak for the others.
  15. Tom, I use 30 and 40 lb. Seagar. No bite offs yet. I landed the 41"er 3 years ago on 15 lb. I got very lucky. I did have bite offs on 25 and less.
  16. Rick, I don't hog all the flags. My tipups are the only ones going. The guys I fish with are lazy and will not switch over to floro carbon instead of steel leaders. On Conesus, the florocarbon leaders has increased my numbers big time. Last winter, we fished the Avon Anglers Tourney. We had 40 tip ups out in our group. I had the only 5 with floro instead of steel and I caught the only 3 fish of the day (2 pike and 1 tiger musky). Same thing goes with Honeoye, light floro out fishes regular mono everytime. I have a new job so I have more weekends off now. Tom, You are more than welcome to join us on the ice. We are going to turn Jax into an icefisherman this winter. And yes, I do fish lakers through the ice. A 10 lb. laker on a medium action jigging rod is awesome.
  17. You don't ice fish Tom? If you want, I can take you to Hemlock or Canadice and hook you up with some lakers!
  18. Rick, Come with me to my spot on Conesus this winter and I will show you a 40" pike.
  19. Nice buck Billy. Is it going on the wall?
  20. FISHINMAN, I was talking about the probe!!!
  21. Come on Tom. I have placed more browns (3) than lakers (2). I will take you out as long as you don't bring bananas. Also, the cowbells never leave boat.
