  1. Sounds like you may have a couple fins broken off on your impellar. When was the last time you changed those out?
  2. There was 2 boats and 1 sank. It was following to close in 6 to 8 footers and smashed the windshield out from what I remember. Trout One picked up the captain. I dont remember who the other responding vessel was on scene. There was a 3 year old girl on board as well probably why I remember it so well it was gut wrenching listening to it play out. We responded as we were close by but there were other boats closer that pulled everyone from the water. They were all lucky there was a tourney that day or I dont think anyone would have been out there... The more I think about it. They may have been Canadian or from the thousand island area.
  3. I sent you an email. Maybe guys here can remember the year. I think this is the one that went down in 2000 or 2001 during the pro am.
  4. Rampages dont get any sexier!! I am in love with the 34 Express. That will be my next ride. Congradulations!!!!!!
  5. https://www.dot.ny.gov/nypermits/repository/PERM30.pdf There are hour restrictions and time restrictions. They may even dictate your route for you. Also flag requirements.
  6. I think it is great we are getting a store in NY but now we will have to pay sales tax on all catalog orders....
  7. I still have all 3 available as the guy who wanted them never came thru.
  8. It is Chevy block with Volvo parts. Anyone who works on a chevy can fix it. Parts just usually cost a few dollars more.
  9. Give yourself time to stop at the watering holes in between.. Dont get dehydrated on the way
  10. You wont want to miss this one! If you have wondered how to catch alewives on a rod and reel our speaker is going to show you. The meeting is at the VFW in Mexico NY under the pavilion and it starts at 7pm sharp. The VFW is located on Rt 3 North headed out of Mexico. It is on the left side as you are heading north. They will also share with you how to preserve them after you catch them. I unfortunately will not be there due to a scheduling conflict. Brian
  11. Be sure you deploy the bag on the side of the boat that your prop is spinning other wise it will pull your boat sideways. In otherwords a standard rotation prop is spinning to the right. Bag in on the right. You may not need a bag if you can go slow enough and also adjust your carb properly. My motors idle comfortable at 550 rpms and with edelbrock carbs they sip fuel. No kicker needed. I can also with one bag in get my 9000lb boat to go 1.0. It will take some effort but you can get it to do what you want.
  12. Will it not slow down enough? What is the slowest speed it will go with the gear deployed?
  13. Yes as long as you do not violate the NYS hook point total.
  14. I have them side by side. There is roughly a .4 difference. The depth raider performs better at slower speeds. My brown trout program is built around it. I really like the fish hawk when it comes to salmon fishing. But to answer your question there is a .4 to .6 difference.
  15. Please feel free to join us as we host Capt. Chris Yard from Irish Knots Sportfishing as he will chat about Spring Brown Trout Fishing in Mexico Bay. Chris is also the Guide Consierge for the Tail Water Lodge and he will be telling us about the new lodge on the Salmon River. The meeting is open to the public and is held at Gander Mountain in Cicero, NY. It will start at 7pm See you all there. Brian
  16. 2 are sold. 1 more available for 30.00
  17. Nick is correct DSC is not available in the Great Lakes as of yet.
  18. I am not sure the red slide that holds them upright would stand up to the pulling of a planer board. They are not really designed to be used that way.
  19. All mono twists you just dont see it like FF. By the way word is Cortland has stopped production on FF. So what is out there is all that will be left. 30lb Sea Flea for me.
  20. Here are 3 Cisco 2in riser track mounts for sale. $100.00 for all 3 or B.O. They will fit any brand of rigger base. Send a PM if interested. I will be in Olcott for 10 days starting friday or I work in Syracuse if you want to pick up. Buyer pays if you want it shipped.
  21. This descision did not come easily. The committee has been discussing this for some time now. Every angle was looked at and personal feelings had to be put aside. In the spirit of the rule this is the correct course of action. Nobody wants to be DQed or worse stopped and have an issue. See everyone very soon!
