  1. Lake is probably 18 inches to 2 ft low. Give our take? Tough to judge at camp with the chop on the lake. Today you will be breaking ice. The inlet had a thin coat of ice on it. Not too much ice though, I watched Cornell break the ice and pick up floating logs with 12 ft aluminum boats so the crews can row.
  2. I believe the problems are as follows, you are transporting an invasive species of bait to uncontaminated waters. Second we are being asked to sell "our catch" to someone for commercial purposes. Two flags go off in my mind.
  3. I use them. The thing I like about them is they hang the lure so they dry off. No rusty spoons or hooks. Easy to access to!
  4. If you are going with a two stroke outboard, consider going to a marine dealer that sells used parts and buy a used oil injection system. Do not ask me the details but I have a good friend that Swears on two stroke only. He did this and pulled fuel from from the main tank. I am sure it took some engineering but to avoid a gas can flopping around to me would be priceless.
  5. This is the great part of being in America. I can pick and choose who I sell to if I so wish. And nothing for nothing if I posted on here and a friend responded along with people I do not know, I would offer to my friend first. That is what friends do. I also do not know how someone can complain when the LOU does not charge for the classifieds. This is a free service. If you want a time stamped purchase or auction style, stop shopping here and go to ebay. Just my two cents.
  6. I ran the torpedo wire last year and found it to be an inferior product with even worse customer service. I also lost two shark weights and two probes further more I would start off with great temp readings. But with use my maximum depth dropped to 30 ft. At the end of the season I investigated and found the core transmitting wire was broken in numerous places always closest to the terminal end. I wonder if high speed riggers and auto stops are too much for the product. Run coated cable you will be better in the long run. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  7. The National Gun Association www.nationalgunassociation.org is standing up for our rights as sportsmen and gun owners. This organization appears to much more active in protecting our 2nd Amendment rights then the NRA. Please feel free to check out their website. They are holding an informational meeting at the New Hope Church 900 Old Vestal Rd Vestal NY 13850 The day for our voices to be heard is February 20th for the March on Albany. Local contact info 607-239-6712.
  8. Check the pawn shops, thieves are stupid! My company has had a rash of thefts from a track to power tools. Managed to get everything back with little effort.
  9. Andy. Treman is iced over completely. Taughannock falls is open. 2 Boats out today. Be careful the shoot is really shallow. If I had to guess the lake has to be pushing 3 1/2 to 4 ft low. Let me know what you decide? Keep on whacking away at those coyotes! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  10. I drive by both T-falls and Treman on my way to camp. I will update on Sunday.
  11. Cayuga is over 3 ft low. I was up two weekends ago and it is lower than it was last winter. I have to go up Sunday and will evaluate again if you can wait that long.
  12. I support your efforts and offer my assistance where needed [ Post made via iPhone ]
  13. April water levels may be an issue if they pull the plug like they already did in Cayuga. Going to try much harder to make arrangements and get my boat over this year.
  14. Looks great, hopefully this proves just as, if not, more successful then your stores. hope you add some trolling lures down the road? I know most guys like to support our local shops before sending $$ outside the area.
  15. I was up at camp. Plant was pushing steam out of the stacks today.
  16. 500 copper. Run clean with a spoon or a flasher fly. Day in and Day out this always puts fish in the boat. May not be the top performer but I would never starve!
  17. Call local pawn shops. We had equipment stolen out of a pick up and it ended up at a pawn shop. It was a chore with the police to get it back but it was worth it. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  18. Atlantic towers makes an adjustable rocket launcher I believe. I am almost positive it is a spin off of their arch in a box. Great people to deal with. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  19. Just sold a 23 ft Larson with a ray marine sport pilot. I ran mine for three years and literally used it. I tied the AP into my I/O but used a kicker as my drive when trolling. I used the ez-steer bracket to connect the two. My I/O was off while kicker was in use. No power assist for the steering of the I/O and then to turn the kicker. It worked great. The only thing I found was it struggled a tiny bit in waves over 3ft. It would overcompensate a bit but it always corrected.
  20. The good the bad and the ugly if any. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  21. Sold the old boat and now it is time to start thinking about how to rig a new one. I really like everything I read about cannons digi troll 10's. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks
  22. They look great but do not break on iPhones or iPads.
  23. Go to Ithaca and finger lakes craigslist. I remember seeing numerous places over the summer. King ferry hotel is always a cheap inexpensive place for a few nights.
