  1. PM's sent. This unit is still available. Just to clarify, this is the older Cannon unit, not the new one that retails for $550. Chris
  2. Troubles- I was away from the computer this weekend. I have one person ahead of you that is coming to look at the unit this week. If it does not work out I'll PM you. Thanks, Chris
  3. Unit is in exccellent shape and has seen very limited use. All the original equipment is included, the coated cable is in great shape. Comes with original manual and box. $300 includes shipping. If you are fishing the red cross derby you can pick it up at my house for $280 (live centrally located between seneca / cayuga lakes). Thanks, Chris
  4. You could just motor out to a charter looking vessel and shadow them(at a respectful distance). Plant your gear where you are seeing marks....
  5. They better produce damn well at $13 + a spoon..................
  6. Hey fellas- I was just bs'ing with cowrkers about my father that passed away a few moons ago. To be mild, he was one he!! of a character. Any way, we were invited to Thanksgiving dinner to a family that was by the bible religious. He offered to say grace and came up with something he learned in the Air Force. One verse went "bring me a woman in the mood". Any chance any of you guys can piece the rest together? At the time I wanted to crawl under the table, but in hind side the pronounced silence after the prayer was hilarious. Of course it was broken by my father saying, "pass me the potatoes" Anyone?
  7. No doubt, a HOG Brown! Well done! It is a hen, correct? Lavarock
  8. Well, I may have waited too long to enter. A registration is being mailed. Is there any chance someone could scan the registration form and e-mail it? So I can fill it out and mail it in time. Thanks Lavarock - [email protected]
  9. Well done! The gamble to deal with the weather paid off! Was the Brown a hen? any arials? Lavarocks
  10. Thanks for the clarification, that's the answer for us to enter!!!!!!! I will start working on a crew. Maybe we can reunite with the King that made a fool out of is last year! Lavarock
  11. For clarification. The $60 entry is per man, correct?
  12. That's fantastic news on the hoss Brown's. For the browns to place as they did is more the exception then the rule. I'm not trying to be a thorn. As noted, typically lakers take the lime light. I just thought the derby layout was not equitable to all the fine salmonid species this lake has to offer. Has the DEC done something different with the Browns being stocked? We are seeing the same trend with big Browns in Cayuga. With out a doubt, his is a fine time to be a fisherman. Lavarock
  13. Had a great time last year. What a beautiful lake! We are passing this year. I was really hoping that they would rearrange the fish catagories. IMHO they need to give the Brown and Rainbow catagories more credit and "places". Good Luck and our 10 lb. brown last year came on a J-9 rapala off a board.
  14. Do a search on this forum. It has been hashed out before and there are several options. Lavarock
  15. Great looking spoon. Is this spoon on the website? I can't seem to match it up to the pix he has on the wesite. Lavarock
  16. Spent some time this winter making boards that are not panning out............Learned the hard way that otter boats are the way to go.
  17. Perchpred..... Good talking with you tonight....It's going to take time to take the sting out of that one! On the bright side, your sighting proves that Cayuga Lake is continueing to turn into a special Brown fishery. In all my years of fishing this lake I have never seen the quality and # of Big Browns! The result of last year's red cross derby is proof enough............The size of this species has continued throughout the year all over Cayuga. Makes me wonder what has changed....Strain?....food?......What ever it is let's enjoy the he!! out of it while it lasts. Browns are the top of my list for fresh water species. The Brown fishing in the Millwalkee area has been producing numerous 20-30 pound world class examples. The Wisconsin Game dept. is changing the strain and it will likely decrease the size of these trophies. So if you want a chance at one of these guys, nows the time. Check out the Brown Pornnnnnnnnn on this guides site, some of the action is through the ice! http://www.wibigfish.com/index.php Hang in there buddy, Lavarock
  18. look on expedia.com Your closest city on the North end would be Geneva, but Waterloo is also close to Geneva. Watkins (south end) now has a large hotel right on the water with a local marina that you may be able to leave your boat at. Those are the largest towns in the area with hotels, search what suits your fancy......
  19. It's not the end of the world as we only live 20 minutes from Sampson, but I was loooking forward to shooting the bull with you all.
  20. Well..........I wasn't expecting to camp, but the family came across a pop-up that couldn't be refused. My wife would really like one of the 100 or 200 # sites, so if anyone gets some information on a site in this area that might be opening up, please shoot me a PM I've been fishing this derby since 83', but kids put a new spin on the camping end..... Thanks
  21. What if we can't fish a particular date. Could we count an outing the week before or after?
  22. I'll take the honeybees. PM your Prefered payment method? Thanks, Chris
  23. I would really consider getting a copper rig or 2 vs. the downrigger. When I struggle with other trolling gear, they always seem to produce. They are very simple and you can get pre-rigged set-ups from Atomik-just add pole and spoon or flasher/ fly and you are in business at what ever depth you choose. Good Luck
