  1. Large amount of Seagulls and cormorants present are plucking the dying ones from the surface in harbors to West, so no accumulating carcasses that I can see
  2. Until then, Jordan to the bar holds plenty of fish!
  3. Ratcheting rod holders make it easy.
  4. Looks like I need to dust off my 6” Tomic spoons.
  5. There have been kings all along Niagara County. The problem has been reaching them as they came in along the bottom with the alewife migration. It takes some special tactics to pluck them off near the bottom in 225’ fow. Hopefully the bait hits the shore then starts to suspend.
  6. I change all my dreamweaver split rings. Welcome back!
  7. They have been there, the question is are they biting ?
  8. Ha! Like a fishing wife Andrew.
  9. To prevent your riggers from banging on dock walls and poles, I would move the riggers inside the corners and just swing the arm out when in use. The dipsy rod holders should be slid back closer to transom so the wire line is not cutting across the back on turns IMO.
  10. Yes this an OMC I/O 1988
  11. Niagara county. All of it.
  12. There is so much friekin bait on the south shore, the lake managers need to consider revoking the chinook cuts from previous years when alewives were in decline. This year class is gigantic!!
  13. Could the engine working better change the RPM’s enough that an adjustment is needed to the shift cable alignment with the electronic shift assist switch?
  14. Greetings. After getting towed in twice in less than a year because of my points distributor crapping the bed, I had the points system replaced with an electronic ignition system. Wow, what a difference! My engine has never run better. However, when I try to shift in and out of gear, I can barely move the shifter. Either my electronic shift assist switch crapped out or it doesn’t work in concert with the new electronic ignition system. Does anyone know if the conversion from points to electronic ignition requires anything to be done with the shift assist switch ? Thanks in advance.
  15. We have taken a bunch of accidental cohos fishing deeper than everyone in 120-220’ and deep 67’-100’
  16. 500 lb spectra planer line from Amish Outfitters.
  17. Don’t believe the surface temp map with grade lines if there is any cloud cover. That map is from perceived infrared heat signature from satellites. Any clouds will skew those readings and can send you on a wild goose chase. The map that is colored works off buoy data and is more accurate.
  18. Lake Trout are the gateway drug to kings. You will be turning yellow cedar plugs for salmon before too long.
  19. I think we beat this dead horse enough.
  20. I guess I am out.
  21. Jimmy Dean or Bob Evans breakfast bowls can be placed in microwave in launch office ( I believe there still is one). They are delicious.
  22. Yep but closer to 18” than 25” would be the norm.
