that's funny!! I think there staying the week end
  6. I have some 30 year old homemade double wood boards, work great actually. I was getting things ready yesterday thinking about how they could be improved without buying new ones like otter bds with a keel. How about taking a 8oz torpedo weight and hanging it off the inside board, or trial and error to find a right balance point. I believe it would help control jumping in heavy water and maybe even cause the board to pull harder. I thinking of a 2' lead to make sure it would never come out of the water, thoughts?? Scott
  7. For what it's worth I'm with my second "mutt" both from rescues and like yours work their tails off. I do however feel deer search is a great club for bringing KIDS into what we all love on this forum. Too many kids are not being introduced to the outdoors today. I get so much enjoyment out of finding a deer for a first year hunter that keeps me coming back for more and educating them along the trail. Scott
  8. Deer search is a non profit, with our donations going to kids to get them interested in hunting and fishing. I too am DEC licensed. My avatar is my tracking dog, very good mutt at it too.
  9. Cant beat a pointer for grouse, problem is they are (grouse) so few a far between in WNY. Great pic!
  10. I see a couple guys use dogs to find dead deer, you should join Deer Search, then you can do it legally during hunting season
  11. What ever net you get put a clip on the handle to hold the net tight to the handle, then the weight of the fish releases it. Helps to get the fish IN the net
  12. Check out the Olcott area, great piers, great docks, great place for fisherman
