  2. Sorry we couldn't get the Moore working, good luck with the boat
  3. I use a #3 oval split ring on the spoons, then the same coast lock
  4. The torpedo cable looks like a great replacement option. I have lost signal when deep, may give it a try. I like the smaller diameter
  5. what is tearing it up? I have a Moore cable that has to be 10 years old if not older. I have a nylon pully on the rigger, I just re-terminate the end yearly, holds up nice
  6. I use the 18lb on Ontario and have not had a break off yet....please note I said yet
  7. Really interested in "where to salmon go" Thanks Scott
  8. look for cracks in the lower section, no cracks good to go
  9. I hope they changed the design because they were not "cheap" Sure they were on sale but $70 for a med/light rod is not cheap, as in " you get what you pay for".
  10. I would guess being a cuddy it carries a merc cruiser V8, 260hp alpha one IO
  11. I hope that doesn't happen with 5lb brown or walleye
  12. X2, I fish the Niag Bar to Olcott, some great fishing indeed, but like fishing is, can be some slow days as well. Good luck
  13. Went with Cabelas depth master med/ light 7'6" on sale.
  14. S&S electric in south buffalo may be able to rebuild
  15. Thats a shocker about Moore, I have had a few of the subtrolls for the past 20 years or so. I have a 19' boat w 3 riggers, my Sub troll is on the rear corner and never a tangle to date with another rigger. I have had a few bare spots in the coated cable and it still works fine, I think if you can make sure you have a continuous connection for the signal to pass you should work OK, try to limit the amount of bare cable the best you can.
  16. another not trout / salmon, how about whitetail antler restrictions, lot of pros-cons
  17. pics all open on iphone but not on PC
  18. Idea, Gentleman's agreement, If you have a LOU sticker, or reading this keep your boards at _______ ft? fill in the blank 60' each, works pretty good for me, 20' between lines
  19. for sure on the safety part, lot of fish in the lake
  20. Im thinking the torpedo may add extra pulling power by bending the fin, thus moving the board further forward. In turn you may be able to run shorter leads, which would be a big help in spring derby times
  21. OK I'm going to date myself, remember the ESLO spring derby days when the water was no where as clear as it is today. The fish would stay close all day long for the temps. The 4 days of the spring derby had every boat inside 50' with boards to the shore, me included, made for some quick actions, but as said it was fun!
  22. they "snap" on the line any length behind the bait you want, think of setting a line on a rigger but with a dipsy. When they trip just like a dipsy they slide down to your leader swivel. Not sure on wire, never used on their
