  1. Getting that text the day before - "Want to go fishing?"... followed by those sunrises, and those fish!
  2. If you're in Brockport, take a look at LOTSA - Lake Ontario Trout & Salmon Association and look up the posts on LOU from Tim Bromund.
  3. One thing I'd add is to look up the inside diameter of the specific arrow and spine that you're shooting. The Nockturnals come in five different diameters and a few arrows change inside diameter across spine selection while most others remain consistent.
  4. Leupold 1-4x 20mm on one & Nikon 2-7x 30mm on the other. Both have been great for me
  5. Got a chance to try most of the choices from Grizzly's in Hunt last year and although the breakfast sausage wasn't my preference, everything was perfectly packaged and REALLY good. He also does a venison liverwurst (if you bring him the liver) that's amazing!
  6. Right there with you. I get to talk to bow hunters all day (high point of the new job), from the guy that was "good enough" with ONE slightly crooked aluminum arrow and a used Muzzy to the new bowhunter that insisted on starting with two dozen 5.5mm FMJ w Deep Six inserts, 9 Rage Hypo BH and 9 Nockturnals. Both extreme examples but I'm betting that old used broadhead drops another deer before the newbie gets his first. I tried the original Rage last season and haven't been impressed so far, jury still out. I'll add Legacy shock collars and try again but I'm carrying my already-proven Muzzy fixed blade BH as backup.
  7. I'll be back in town in a few weeks. I'll have to stop in and take a look!
  8. Ditto. Lucked into a pair of Helix waders at a LL Bean outlet and paired them with a pair of Korkers from All Seasons in Pulaski
  9. If I was still local, and still owned a house, I'd be all over that for my backyard grillin'!
  10. Just east of Booneville - I love it up there!
  11. You've had a great Derby season, Dan. I want to see you crack 30lbs...
