  1. I spooled one of my reels last year with 30 lbs flea flicker. I didn't like it. Hard to tie knots with and stretches a lot. I'm sticking with 25 or 30 lbs big game. As much as i can fit on the reel.
  2. Just google walker deeper diver or luhr Jensen Dipsey diver. I second running dipseys over riggers. Just make sure you spool your reels with stainless trolling wire line. You can buy them preloaded from a-tom-mic. He sells dipseys too. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  3. Port Ontario would be my suggestion [ Post made via iPhone ]
  4. Kingslamin...what are you getting the steelies on? [ Post made via iPhone ]
  5. Their is some BIG boulders!! I hit one near east bay...just east of sodus point last spring. Must have been 9 ft tall in 10 ft of water. Lifted the front of my boat out of the water and completely stopped me from 2.0 mph trolling speed. I think all the bluffs are areas to be extra careful. [ Post made via iPhone ]

  7. LOL!! They are still lead grey. I was gonna spray bomb them black but don't want the paint rubbing off. Stoutner, where did you get that rubber coating?
  8. They are just like the ones in the store for a lot less $$. Got 2 last year and would buy again from him. Super fast shipping! [ Post made via iPhone ]

  17. LoL. Forgot I told you that! Like bazooka bubble gum. Yeah, the rigger rods had 15 lbs floro leaders. But I like fighting those cookies on the light spinning rods. Sucks when you run out of line tho. I will be in saranac lake on labor day for a wedding. Let me know if you up before that. Try not to holler too much at your seamen! [ Post made via iPhone ]

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):3/22 Time on Water:7-3 Weather/Temp:sunny and 70's Wind Speed/Direction:slight breeze Waves: glass Surface Temp: Location:Mexico LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 5 Total Boated:3 Species Breakdown:browns Hot Lure: fire tiger sticks Trolling Speed: 1.8-2.3 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 8-19 Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== First time out this year! Weather was picture perfect. Even ended up with some sunburn. All 3 fish were cookie cutters 2-4 lbs. We lost a really nice fish that had me convinced we were hung up on the bottom. Then it started bulldogging and pulling some serious drag. Their was about 5 feet of line left on the reel so I tightened the drag down and it snapped the 10 lbs floro. Hit one on black/silver yo-hotmail with an orange belly. Fire tiger rattling rogue too the most hits. And it's still in the mouth of that hog brown. Water was that murky green color. Boat traffic was fairly light. Be back sundayfor another go. Tight lines! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  19. I like 15 or 12 lbs mainline and 10 lbs floro. Some like 8. I rigged up 10 feet of 15 lbs floro on some of my salmon rigger rods. So I can still use them for salmon in a month. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  20. WOW..that's a nice atlantic!! Those browns aren't too shabby either.
