  5. 66 degree surface temperatrure? boy Id did not ink it was that cool all ready. Not familiar with your depthfinder but I would try and see if there are any chasers there. Oh I am a jigger not a troller. My first thought was all bait but seeing the above reply he might be right. I would give it a quick try just to see.....jk
  6. Swedish pimples are one of my favorite jigging lures for ice fishing for lakers I don't think you can find decent sized ones any more. Great lures and d to 0et...jk
  7. The depthfinder photo is obviously for the boat, but that is what we used to see at times.....jk Ps my first photo entry yea jk
  8. My experience with winter fishing for lakers is in Keyuka only. We used to go up every week, no matter what. All that ended last year with the decline of the bait. Now don't forget that Keyuka does not get 200 feet deep. We did not see much difference in location except in the spring. 4 and more years ago we fished the south end and the bluffs only and they were always in the same area. Ice fishing too, the same area, weird feeling walking out 3/4 to the bluffs dragging sleds, was always a challenge to get on the ice someplace as most of the shore had bubblers. And we had a lot of company, hardly ever did not get a limit of decent sized fish. 6 pound test fireline jigging rod 3 feet long and a pocket of 4 or 5 jigs. I did use some metal but my buddys did not. We took one gas auger and started drilling holes, the other person scopped and ran around with the depthfinder(the same one used in the boat) looking for fish fish, once they were found, we fished. Just saying.....jk
  9. I have quite a few nite time fishing runs on streams and full moon(now)is bad. Nite time with a dark phase of the moon is brown trout time. I have never caught a boorkie or rainbow at nite. No idea about lakers but from what I have heard they do at least bite on dark moon nites with lantern on live bait......jk
  10. Just being with buddys is what counts, I just got back form a funeral......jk
  11. That is what I was trying to say. But since June we started to see a lot of bait finally. For two years there was almost none on the depthfinder. Try Cayuga, there is a good chance for a ten pounder there and a lot of other species too.....jk
  12. Good luck, three years ago and earlier that place was HOT. Then the bait disappeared and the fish got smaller and thinner. Hard to find a 30 incher there now or even a 25 incher. Keep us informed.....jk
  13. There is a gas dock and boat launch just south of you, "Jakes". Most people fish the point across form you and a bit south. Look up that post from maybe July. A lot of info there..jk
  14. Where are you staying? South end or north? trolling or jigging? There is a lot of information in a post from a month ago......jk
  15. Not from me. I haven't been up there or any lake in a month = withdrawal symptoms. Need company I will go......jk

  21. I'd take a skunk, haven't been up in several weeks. Hope to go Moday.....jk
  22. Are you sure some of those are not lakers? You are moving with the electric and at that slow speed I think some of those are your target fish......jk
