  1. Mine was weird. The steering wheel would go back and forth, but the motor would never move. I had to hold the steering wheel in one spot to force the fluid to bypass the steering wheel pump and circulate back to the ram on the motor. It worked, but I had to fabricate and install a bracket that holds the steering wheel in one place when I use the auto pilot. Otherwise the AP drives the wheel but not Motor. 2. I wonder what fixed the problem? Update please? Thanks. If you're still looking, try a portable gas tank and hose to eliminate the built in tank and hoses if applicable. Process of elimination is sometimes easiest way to troubleshoot. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Probably not in their budget or job description. Appears to be a Hazmat issue. There should be a Hazmat office around somewhere. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Used it first time today. Works fine. I realize it's not as good as a a solid frame launcher bolted to gunwales but that's ok. Only thing I don't like is when rods are stowed there when you back up the land one with long dipsey leaders your rod gets into the ones in the rocket launcher. 5. What is herring oil and where do you get it? Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. That's what I use. The orange plastic releases, as well as most releases on an online board don't work well with braid. I did tie in a section of heavy mono on one rod, and it works great too. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Seems like more stuff a king will get tangled up in? Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. I bought one of those spoons a couple year's ago. Caught a couple of nice Kings on it. For some reason I haven't used it much. Next time out you can bet it will on a line. I just Trolled with like normal, no yanking. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. We had a ball. Unfortunately they can't come More often. Too many baseball, soccer, softball games He has 5 kids! Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Had to stay in Port while some bad weather moved through. Then after an hour or so we went out about 730. We saw 68 degrees at the mouth of harbor, then about 66 degrees at 190 FOW. But we decided to keep going out. We stopped at 384 FOW. It was 68 degrees on surface 45 degrees 50 to 60feet down. We trolled north. Hit 495 FOW. Surface went to about 70 with 45 degrees 70 feet down. Pretty stable. Stay between 450 and 495 most of the time. Quit at 1330. We got 2 Kings, and 5 steelhead. One king on meat/11 two face uv paddle/diver. Lost several more on that combo. Biggest king was 19 lb off a 70 foot rigger with UV GLOW two face spoon. That rigger also took a few steelhead. Took a couple steelhead on a 10 color leadcore also with same spoon. Nothing on SD/FLY Today. Best water for me was 475 to 490. Fished out from the plant, smokestack. Took my nephew and his two sons. The little tike got the rigger rod bites so he got to fight the big one and land it with some help from Dad. It tangled around a rigger ball and cable and just as I barely got the net under it the line severed and popped. Chaotic! But we got him, and my great nephew filmed the whole thing. 11. I just got the rocket launcher, no bimini because I already had one. My tope stays up/open all the time, so I just mounted it to my existing bimini tubes. Had to a couple sight mods, but not hard. It is pretty sturdy, stainless steel, they say. heres the link. I guess it wasn't even $109. $79, plus shipping. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0188DBKP4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  12. Just bought this ocean south rod holder, rocket launcher. Pretty nice for $109! Don't follow the instructions on the box as far as cutting the tubing though. It was way off. Just temporary install the uprights, then hold the top and bottom tubes up and Mark the cut lines. Got it on Amazon. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I let my rigger hit bottom all the time on Erie for Walleye. I immediately raise it for a two or three second count. I do this so I can flutter the spoon up all the way from the bottom, through the suspended fish, when I have a good looking screen on my fish finder. 15. This is my question every time I go out. Shallow or go offshore? Unfortunately I don't have Ladies with me. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. I'm still trying to figure out if you are targeting them, or avoiding them. ??? Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Definitely not a 42 lb fish, after comparison to the other pics. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Bob did you Photoshop an 18 pounder? LOL. Nice one. Biggest ever on my boat was 22. I can't imagine a monster like that! Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I wholeheartedly agree. In tight fishing scenarios it is unfair to expect everyone to be able to clear your lines 300 feet or more behind you, at trolling speeds with reduced maneuvering ability and other obstacles (boats) all around. Go find a place that has more clearance. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Please clarify what make and model G2, G3? is that allows you to see off to the sides of your boat for locating bait balls, etc. Is this a garmin unit? Thanks.
  21. Let me (us) know how the 50/200 works. I have the HDS 7 Gen 3 with 83/200 xducer. I normally run medium chirp. My unit does not have a LOW chirp selection, just MED and HIGH. It works but I am looking for a wider cone if possible. I don't really need to see a 4 foot diameter and separate fish in close proximity to each other. I am more interested in seeing bait and if there are any fish down there at all. Wider cone if possible. I wish someone would make a probe you lower into the water and it scans a circle like a weather radar, providing a "side view" .
  22. My FF xducer is mounted right beside the FH xducer on a piece of white vinyl from Home Depot. Just like this. No problems.
  23. Albright is all I use for joining two lines of any kind. Never had it break.
  24. If it flips, I'm guessing the cold water will be on the surface. What's the basic game plan when that happens? Go offshore?? Trying to anticipate what to do. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
