  1. I need 2 shimano syncopate 2500 reels. at 37.00 for 2 makes it very tempting when ebay is 30.00 each.
  2. short shaft is 15" a long shaft is 20" a extra long is 25" hope this helps.
  3. which is the 12# weights the middle set or the last set?? if the last set is the 12# I will take them if you'll ship them to me at my expense.
  4. doesn't the fishhawk cost somewhere around 650.00? and it doesn't matter what speed the lure is going as long as I'm catching fish. if my boat is going 2.0 and im catching fish im happy with my gps speed. but we've dwelled on this subject long enough. im just happy that you posted and informed the op about the fishhawk. now he can make a informed decision.
  5. doesn't the fishhawk require a downrigger and coated cable to work? or am I thinking about something else? I believe the fishhawk will give you a more accurate speed of the lure. but there are hundreds of guys that use gps speed and are happy. and if I get on the radio and say I'm running 2.8 mph that doesn't mean for him to run 2.8 with the fishhawk. the fishhawk with a gps is the way most people use them.
  6. ebay or amazon is where I buy most of my stuff because they usually have cheaper prices. but on some items its best to do a search online. I checked prices at both places on stinger scorpion spoons. they seemed high at about 9.00 each and limited selection. I did a search and found then for 5.49 at fishusa.com. then I found them on another sight for 5.00 but you had to buy 6 of the same color. then I found a good selection for 5.13 each. no need to be sorry. we all have the right to post things that might be helpful.
  7. I use the 345 gti reels for saltwater fishing down in fl. and I can say they are great reels. I bought mine on auction for a little over 100.00 each. but he already has copper on these.
  8. I used the ball and string many yrs ago and it just wasnt that accurate. I would suggest getting a cheap gps or upgrade your fishfinder to one that has a gps. you can get the helix 5 chirp with gps for 299.99 but I prefer the helix 7 chirp/gps for 449.99. I have the older helix 7 di gps combo without chirp. I love the bright screen and fast maping. you'll get real time speed with either unit.
  9. if you don't get nets thats coated its a nightmare with treble hooks.
  10. 510.00 to 532.00 on ebay with free shipping. just fyi. 900.00 saves you 164.00.
  11. you can get a new one with built in gps and dsc for under 200.00. I know that can be a lot of money if your on a tight budget. register the dsc through boat us.
  12. I agree on not using treated wood. just get exterior grade plywood the only difference in it and marine is the marine has less knots and one side is extra smooth. I sealed mine with paint on truck bed lining I bought at Oreillys. but a few coatings of polyurethane should seal the bottom and edges and last for yrs. I sealed all the seams and edges after the floor was installed with cheese cloth and fiberglass resin.
  13. in his listing it says it is a long shaft. that would be a 20" shaft. a short shaft is 15" an extra long shaft is 25".
  14. rubber nets are shallow and are very heavy. not something you want to use if you do any fishing alone or fish for large fish. the coated nets are the way to go in my opinion. I use to use a frabil true trax with coated net and it worked pretty good. now I use the ego s2 slider with the coated net. I have the largest net with the handle that extends from 48" to 108". but they have another handle that I think extends from 29" to 60". the mesh is coated making them resistant to hooks but not hook proof. egos2slider.com and look at the s2 nets not the s1 that doesn't have extendible handles.
  15. yep it is clearly the power boat that didnt give way to the sail boat. just happy nobody got hurt.
  16. I cant believe he didnt take them for 300.00. 2 working electric riggers is a steal at 300.00. if I had the spare money I would buy them myself for spares for my riggers or sell them for a profit.
  17. just quit going to this sight and you'll never be bothered again.
  18. have you thought about getting the ez steer? they make then for different motors.
  19. I can use both of them. i'll take them. please let me know how much for shipping. I can pay to friend with pay pal or send you a check or money order. sherman brown 2715 e 29th st muncie in 47302
  20. my bad, I read your post all wrong. I thought it was 25.00 each. 25.00 for 4 holders is a great price. I use them on my small boat for fishing inland lakes. they are a great little rod holder.
  21. any of the big name riggers in good shape wsill work for you, cannon, big jon, penn, scotty, and I don't know about walker manuals. I have big jon electric and just love then. penn makes a awesome manual that I like. manuals are going to cost you 100.00 to 150.00 each. you can get used electric for around 225.00 to 250.00 each. I used manuals for 30 yrs then when I got to old to crank them up I bought electric. I've kicked my rear end for not getting electric yrs ago you can check them all out on ebay if you don't find what you want on here.
  22. don't mean to bust your bubble but you can get these for 16.99 without base at cabelas. you can get 4 with bases for 69.99 at cabelas.
  23. I use a 4000# atv superwinch that I bought off ebay for around 200.00 on my 21' boat. but I used the same winch on a 28' sea ray amberjack and it worked beautiful. it has automatic 100% load holding brake but I use a safety chain just in case it ever fails.
