Too bad Roch 1st didn't read the press release.  They're going to keep the water level UP.

Get ready for flooding next spring.  A winter prediction of good winter + high lake going into winter = lots of water!

Corps shows a 0.6 meter drop at Rochester from 1 Oct to 29 Oct.  Drop at Coburg 0.5 meter for same time period.  Outflow of St Lawrence is 266,600 cfs which is lowest since May.

Has there been a strong East or North wind?

How has the precipitation been in the Ottawa River Basin this year? That's the main driver of Big-O water level.  All that precipitation farther than 10 miles south of Big-O southern shore drains south towards the Chesapeake.

Has anyone been on the river lately?  I’m looking at the water line along the boulders and the dock where the boat is kept and I can’t reach the water with my hand if I lay down on the dock. I know because I dropped my $120 cutco fillet knife into the drink while loading gear on the boat and couldn’t retrieve it because our net wasn’t long enough to dredge the bottom 😥
