If you have two 55L Okumas laying around, spool the 45 backwards on one, and see how much braid it'll hold.  You'll be able to run more than that for the 350'.  Kind of a rough way of doing it but will work.  I know someone here has some formulas/spreadsheet to help calculate this stuff.

350’ 45Lb Copper on 55L

      450’ 50Lb (.014”)  Braid Backer

55L Reel is too small for 450’ 45Lb Copper (my opinion)

I have an extra Solterra 20L reel that would fit 400-500 copper nicely if you are interested. It’s brand new.

How much 50# braid backing for a Okuma 55L reel would I need for a 350’ and a 450’ copper set up using 45#copper???

IMO, Okuma 55 series is too small for 450 copper. If you fish it down the chute you can probably get away with it
