@GAMBLER @whaler1 @HB2 Which came first, the chicken or the egg lol? Y'all are saying the same thing. There's fish somewhere, so that's where the fishermen congregate, so that's where most of the fish are weighed in, so you can track fishermen using fish...or is it fish using fishermen? And is it perception or reality that dictates the seasonal migration of fishermen?

Oh, my head hurts. Meliora!

The reason that the most  boats are at those certain ports are because anglers over the years have figured out that that's where the majority of fish are at that time of the year. The leaderboards prove that . .

And most guys don't run a spread of just meat rigs . They have a few down with spoons mixed in . So the fish have a choice as to what they want . And the bigger fish seem to prefer the flashers and meat . Not all but generally speaking , mid summer on , that's the case . The leaderboards prove that .

I'm not saying the same thing Keith.  Some years are different and the kings are not on schedule due to weather.   Just because everyone goes to the bar or the salmon river, it doesn't mean they are on the mother load of kings.  Leave Sandy every trip and look around.  If you see a congregation of boats, does that mean that is where all the fish are?  Most of the time, No.  How many springs has the Rochester basin been on fire for kings yet everyone flocks to the Niagara?  Heavy ice years on Erie, the Rochester basin warms faster and the king fishing heats up quick.  Everyone flocks to the Niagara because that is usually the place to be in the Spring yet the Rochester fleet has great fishing and not many boats around.

Let me perform a meta-analysis and identify impactful factors to derive a pooled estimate of sample effects for defining the efficacy of interventions and guiding decision-making, LOL.
