FishUSA had a sale over bassmaster classic weekend on Rapala items. I decided the deal was too good so I bought every DT model + a squarebill for my bass arsenal. Looking at them I can’t help but think I could probably catch browns on them. I have some hot’n’tots that I put out each time but I am almost out of the old discontinued clear bill models so looking for an alternative. Anyone using cranks for browns?

I have run the DT10 in that same pattern as well as a brown one with white belly that I think might be called crayfish.  Not this early in the year but as soon as we move out to 12 -15' FOW.

Back in the day , late 70s early 80s , I had a wood boat .

I had 2 shortarm riggers and some single big boards .

All we ran back then spring were stick baits . I would put one each on riggers and when I got out to 15 to 40 ft I would put on 2 deep diving stick baits . Spoonbill rebels , Lindy shadlings , long A bombers . They dove down 15 to 25 ft .

I got a lot of fish on those and some real nice kings .

So I agree that some of those Rapalas  look like they would be great for that .
