People are gathering to pull water chestnuts on Long Pond Saturday June 27th at 10am. If you are interested in helping let me know and I can get you more information.

When they are done, send them to Braddocks and Round Pond.  They are taking over all the ponds.  Thanks for doing this!

I was out on the Fire rescue boat Sat in Braddocks and one of the guys said the water chestnuts were taking over Braddocks. This guy also happens to live on long pond and is dealing with them there.

WOW!  That is really bad news. I wonder are they in Irondequoit Bay and/or Sodus Bay.

 DEC was at Buck Pond today... went by the NE corner launch area on Edgemere ~11am cycling. There was a sign pointing to the launch labeled "Water Chestnut Launch Site" and a DEC pickup with a boat trailer attached (accomodate an 16'-18' boat). There were multiple additional personal vehicles parked along Edgemere. I could see a decent sized boat/activity near the west side of the pond.
