Diawa Seagate Reels?

Recommended Posts

Anyone seen these in person yet?  The SGTLW60H reels seems to have the capacity of a Tekota 800 but with a 6:1 gear ratio and upgraded drags.  $150 on FishUSA.  Might be changing over a few copper reels to them.  Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,

John

I have one John.  If you want to check it out, let me know.  Same drag as the Saltist reels and same gear ratio.  I fit a 350 copper on it with 300' of 50lb power pro backing.

I have one and my first impression is favorable.  I spooled 150yds of hi-vis yellow 50lb Power Pro and as much 45lb Blood Run Copper as I could get on it (maybe 450' or so) with a 30' Fluoro Leader.  The reel appears to be of great quality but time will tell as it gets used this year.  Definitely priced well for what you get compared to models with similar capabilities.
