Kevin J Legg 98 Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) With the warmer water temperatures the bait has started to move into the shallow water and the crappies and bass are on the bait. I fished a couple areas along the St Lawrence and found some nice crappies but not in large numbers. yesterday I caught about half dozen and I may try again. EsoxAC3 65 Posted April 21, 2015 Agreed, Kevin. Last two weeks has produced respectable crappie and gill fishing in certain areas on the St Lawrence. My best day has been 6 crapps so far. My buddy has limited out a few times....... Showoff. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Consigliere 1 Posted April 21, 2015 What type of structure areas are you finding crappie this time of year in the river? Would like to try for them with the kids sometime. Fishing out of Kingston. jimski2 55 Posted April 21, 2015 Bring a net for the the big crappie because their soft mouth loses a lot of fish and a net is needed to lift them out of the water. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
