Looking for some pointers for lakers (mexico Bay)

Hello all just looking for some tips for maybe catching some lakers or Browns. I have a 16ft Lund with down riggers and I am used to fishing Lake Erie new to Ontario. I launched out of Mexico bay last week and lost one decent fish early 45 ft of water. Just looking for some tips/pointers

Gambler rigs as close to bottom as you can, troll 1.5 speed in 100-150fow and get ready because it won't take long

this is old info but this spring we did well over 100 to 110 with  cowbells right on the bottom. green seemed to work best.

we trolled peanuts behind them.
