Boating license and lifetime fishing license ny

I just completed my boating course and have had my lifetime license for a few years now and am wondering once I get my drivers license what I need to bring to the dmv to get the stamps on my license

I have a lifetime sportsman as well…I was able to get that transferred onto my driver license all on line

I got my boating course transferred on line also

Ok sweet I did the same thing and passed my driving test yesterday

When I went to get my boating stamps added after getting my driver’s license, I just brought my license, my lifetime boating certificate, and a form of ID. They were super straightforward about it. I also checked pedirayudas.com before going, just to see if there were any extra steps or docs I might need. Saved me a second trip when they asked for proof of residency—easy fix and all done in one visit.

They stamped mine on my drivers license and when i renewed it this year the one they sent me had both stamped on it

If you go to a DMV office you must bring the boating course card and the lifetime fishing license they will make you fill out some papers, pay -I think it is $16

- and you will get your new license in the mail a few days later.

It is a pity that the DMV and the DEC do not share their systems, but it's not a big deal.
