It reminds me of the demise of Sears. Their products are high quality and highly overpriced, although lately their prices did come down. When Rob was still there, his knowledge, help and friendly presence made me pay their prices without complaining, but when he retired the place lost way more than just an employee

Doesn't really surprise me. Anytime I've gone there it seems like I'm the only one. With that and our short boating season I'm surprised it stayed open this long. It was nice to have them there for those things needed asap.

For Trade 4 inch track mount Downrigger pedestal
rolmops replied to Taylor1969's topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
Why don't you take a metal saw and cut your 8 inch in 2 pieces. That way, you will have a four inch to mount and a spare in case of need -

It said NYDEC and had the phone number as well as the band number. it was 26”. They are going to mail information on it. we had 2 boats and caught them on sticks as well as bottom bouncers. 60-65’ seemed best. willow blades, colorados, and Lindy rigs, all the normal colors i dont know what sticks the other guys were running. we also caught a few on blade baits in the evenings but mostly sheepies doing that

Hopefully you have access to the underside of those areas so you can reinforce them as there can be a lot of torque with riggers and weights etc. although it will be somewhat distributed with a board approach. Best of luck with it. It is always fun when those customizations work out. Make sure to carefully think it through in terms of when everything is one there including downrigger and rod clearances etc. It can help to try a mock up positioning of your stuff before actually finalizing.

Our group caught a pile over the weekend in Barcelona in a bit deeper water. We also got a tagged one, it was a jaw tag with number on it for reporting like a duck band. DEC said it is 10 years old. They also said now they do transmitters and when you fillet them a battery will fall out. Kinda cool.
