  3. Today
  4. If you wrap your rigs around your paddles when u store them it will cause you to loose future fish as well
  5. Good morning,is your main 150 4 or 2 cycle and how high are the freeboards or gunwales

  7. Ended up only going out with a few friends for a 2 hour cruise yesterday afternoon but did put a few lines in. Picked up a small king in 150 fow on a cowbell/spin n glow that was down on the bottom for lakers that I decided to pull up a bit to 70ft down just to see what would happen. Really didn’t put much effort into fishing but hoping to get out during the week or next weekend and really put a good trip in.
  8. Did I read this correctly??, ROCK BASS TOURNAMENTS???... Honestly, is that a thing??... Geez, Trout,Bass, Perch, Walleye , even Catfish tourneys down here on the Susquehanna,, Do we REALLY need more oddball tournaments so sponsors can make a few bucks?... I dunno, but this is getting ridiculous.. Overfished Rock Bass, Sunnies, Perch, Crappies........ On the Great Lakes no less.. Commercially caught as well, so the captain can pay his dock fees???/. great.......
  9. Got on the lake at 6am started straight out from the chute in 120 ft, Before we could get rods in the both riggers went off and lost them both. Then after getting all the poles set the black with white crinkle glow had a big rip, went three times before getting to the boat, nice 15 lb king. Then after marking a small pod, both riggers went off again, this time after trying to stagger timing getting them to the boat for netting managed to land then both, these were 15lb and 16lb kings. After an hour took the biggest king on the meat rig, this one came in at just under 18 pounds. Then later just before leaving, caught a smaller steel head fun though, doing cartwheels all the way in. Fun trip first one out for the year, my nephews had a blast great memory for all of us. All fish caught from 140 to 190 and down 60 to 75 down.. steel head came late didn’t get the pic of it… good luck to all.
  10. Launched around 6:15, headed out to 200 in a bit of leftover waves which gradually calmed as the morning rolled on. Set up and headed North to 400ft. Completely blank screen along the way. Various Spoons, meatrig, Flash/Fly combo used. FishHawk showed temp brake around 50ft down out beyond 300ft depth. No action at all or even a lone mark. Made a few direction changes, swapped some tackle, did arcs, adjusted speeds up and down a little - no dice. Pulled lines and headed back to 200 to try inside depths. Found 5 or 6 boats in roughly similar area all spread out and going different directions. Finally hooked up with an Atlantic on a carbon 14. We started marking fish around 175-160ish depth, but not many. Inside water temp break was down around 100ft so we swapped in 450 and 600 coppers dropped the diver and lowered the riggers. Another hour passed and by this time we had only seen a few scattered marks. Decided to try for some Lakers to end the morning. Set up a cowbell rig, slowed a little to 2.2 ball speed. Within 15 minutes, had the 450 with a mag gramma warrior just start screaming. Halfway through the fight, the 600 starts peeling off, but felt like a laker. To add to the fun, the cowbell rig also starts bouncing- triple! We prioritize the salmon on the 450, then retrieve the laker, then lost a small laker at the boat on the cowbell. Nice finale to what felt like a terribly slow day. Got both my son and father on decent fish on a beautiful morning, a win in my book.
  11. Was it an Atommik? Green head with crushed UV on it? If so, it was a UV Grinch (one of my favorites!)
  12. Fished Oswego this evening(Saturday) caught 2 keeper salmon and a 5 small ones that tagged on our lines. Fish are spread out from what I can see, fished just east of port. Worked for them. Wasted time with hitchhikers on the lines a few times,, frustrating they were so small no way to know they were on.
  13. Yesterday
  14. That's all thats left. The line broke between the 2nd and 3rd teaser.
  15. 1700 views on this thread in one week and nobody has put up a fishing report. Good or bad fishing it helps everyone to post what is going on. We need fish taken out of the system as there are 100 million walleye in Erie. No reason for tradition secrecy.
  16. That's great. I hope he is right. Next time I will bag and freeze them and get them over to Game and Fish. Didn't check the DNA but just compared to the color photos on their flyer. I'm still fishing either way. Thanks, Speedy
  17. Left the launch later than expected 7:30am fished till 11am got set up in 180 fow front of the pump house turned around in 380 pulled rods in 200. Went 6 for 12 all kings biggest 15 and 19lbs. Fun had by all with my son stepson and his girlfriend landing her first Salmon.
  18. I just spoke with a friend of mine that run a charter for over 15 years on The Memphremagog and he is also a biologist and he confirm that there is no alewives. Salmon are feeding on smelt and a little bit on small baret (not sure about the name in English)
  19. Started in 116 feet heading east. Hoped to get my youngest at least a laker...check. anyway, slid out to 160 and the carbon 14 on 300 copper got two steelhead, raspberry carbon down 70 got a 8 pound king, 10 color with a purple who knows what it was named got a 12 pounder. Got a massive dispey hit only to watch a pretty decent king come 4 feet out of the water....with my meat rig in its face. If anyone can tell me the name id appreciate it, it's been doing really well for me so far.
  20. Salmon, lakers, brown trout fishing are excellent on the Memphre even with the high pressure and many charters. I know personnel 3 charters on the lake and they never report any alewives in the lake, there is a abundant smelt population and a excellent water quality. The Quebecers thanks Vermont Fish and Wildlife for maintaining such a quality fishery.
  21. I have upgraded my planer board reels with coldwaters so all the reels on the boat are consistent. I have two of these reels for sale. They were used one season for maybe 5 trips and I have never had a problem with either of them. I upgraded both reels with power handles and the original handles are in the box. I prefer to sell them as a pair. Features Lightweight corrosion resistant frame and sideplates Corrosion resistant graphite spools Stainless steel reinforcing sideplate rings Mechanical line counter function measures in feet Multi-disc Carbonite drag system 2 stainless steel ball bearings Durable machine cut brass gearing Self lubricating gear system Stainless steel levelwind line guide system
