  2. this is a fish hawk 4d that has only been used twice. transducer and power wire are still on the boat if someone wants to power it up, they have only been on the boat for the last two years, boat has only been in the water 6-8 times since it was installed and I store the boat in the garage when not in the water. looking to get $800 Thanks for looking
  3. Walleye boards 60$ Tx44 boards with snapper release 40$ Offshore Pro mag SST boards with sams pro release 80$ Fine Tuned Welding quad trees with cup holder 400$ Buyer pas shipping. What you see is what you get.
  4. Trout Unlimited, just like the Charter association releases info to their members and the fishing community through social media. In the current economy, neither club will be flying a plane with a banner or sending smoke signals like you are asking. You are complaining about something that is pointless.
  5. Well, the bait level studies have the last two years were good enough for the DEC to increase stocking numbers of Chinooks, so I don't see how they could say that. You talk to the biologist and they see better numbers out there than they have for a few years.
  6. indoor boilers require about 1/2to1/3 of the wood to heat a home that an outdoor boiler uses ,heated my home with one for 40yrs. list it on heating help .com classified
  7. So those 12 to 18 # fish have to be 3 years old . Why are they so small ( that's retorical) ? When I inquired about this to DEC last fall, they told me lack of bait . Can't have big fish without an ample supply of bait fish . I kind of have to believe them .
  8. I have a decent-sized home, and it keeps us warm through the winter without any issues. One thing to keep in mind is the maintenance.

  10. I have a lack of rod holders on my 18' Starweld. Right now I run 4 dual axis rod holders on 24" tracks and 2 Cannon riggers with single rodholders. When I run 2 or more sideplaners, plus 2 diver setups, I'm out of rodholders. My rod storage in the floor and gunnels doesn't allow for long rods, so I also have no safe place to store extra rod setups. I'm considering purchasing one or two rod trees, either double or triple. I see that some trees are fixed at different angles, some can be adjusted and others are angled up at the same angle. I certainly see that the adjustable trees would offer greater positioning, but is that advantage worth the added cost. I also have to consider how my popup canopy will work with a rodtree .I see Cabellas has a Millenium rod tree for a reasonable price with good reviews, but I'd also consider the big name makers. I'd appreciate any input your experiences could offer, especially from the smaller boat group. Thanks ahead.
  11. 7 days of tourney guys looking for a fish 20lbs or bigger, and there were 2 winners from 7 days of fishing. Every day was a fishable day with no wind to keep people off the water.
  12. What you see is what you get Located in Rochester
  13. We are in June transition 3 weeks early. Only half the field got their 6 fish limits in the Wilson Harbor Invitational this weekend.
  14. It works great for marking suspended bait. You can expect 200-300' off each side on 455khz.
  15. I have a raw aluminum plate designed for this at Krezner Marine. They were made specifically for Cannon downriggers to go in-between the base and swivel base.
  16. I don't know of anything commercially available but have seen a lot of guys make brackets that use the existing bolt pattern for the riggers - made out of thin metal - they literally sandwich that plate between the mount and the rigger and extend back beyond the rigger.
  17. I've had a couple this year hooked in the side. I think the fish takes a swing at a spoon and misses and the hook grabs the eel... just an assumption... Nick
  18. Looking to mount a Garmin 10” GPS in the back of the boat. I currently have downriggers mounted on the transom. Is there a bracket I can use to mount them to the down rigger? They are Mag 10s matt
  19. The hate for giant class of natural 2yr kings seems to be great.... I guess the worst could be Lake Huron king fishing...
  20. Fishing has been stellar. More silvers than you will know what to do with. Lakers have been big and healthy. Eel presence is high unfortunately. Good luck! Nick
  21. WHI winning team this weekend had a 9.8 lb average.
  22. DEC does presentations for Trout Unlimited? When there was a newspaper, their meetings were announced, when the newspaper had an outdoors column.
  23. I don't expect the Charter group to do anything. DEC could easily put it in one of their e-newsletters. That is how the SOL meetings were communicated, as well as through the Fisheries Advisory Board and the other groups.
  24. FIshed Wilson to the Bar Friday150-325FOW marked little. Best water was 150 to 220'. finished 2 for 2 plus a couple throw backs. Saw few nets moving anywhere. All bites came between 20 and 60 down. Saturday fished in front of the plant east of Olcott, finished 4 for 4 plus 1 dink we drowned and kept. ALso 2 healthy throw backs. all bites came between 20 and 70 down. Five and 7 color lead plus 70 rigger caught fish. Fog was definitley a limiting factor in our range from port. Best water was 125 to 175'. Sunday AM, returned to the plant East of Olcott, same water fished for a few hrs to produce a steelhead and a drive by on a rigger at 60 down. Foggy. Best summary I could give was the weekend was a grinder most boats we talked to at the dock did similar or worse. Did get a Coast Guard safety inspection in Olcott tho maybe the weekend trophy was the sticker!
  25. Does anyone employ side scan while trolling this lake to help locate fish/bait? I’ve heard of people doing it before but not really sure which range setting I should have the screen set too(if I should say have the bottom within view on the screen or just within 200’ or so)? Any tips or tricks for this would be very helpful. Running garmin transducers with 260khz and 455khz channels for side view
