  2. That's not a report, If you are going to post NEVER ENOUGH, give some more information, or perhaps a picture of your BIG FISH.
  3. Nice Job guys!! Congrats on the derby Leader!!
  4. I cant believe the kype on that fish allready, it is only july right? I have seen a few showing signs of spawn but not like the jaws on that guy. Congrats on the derby fish guys! Kudos to Mitchell's Bait in Tackle - I have heard of them coming to the rescue of many PM derby fisherman
  5. Nice work Lou, Whats that lure in his mouth called? It looks like a producer.... Great report and I am glad you got to experience that with your son and your father.
  6. Congratulations on the big Brown!! What a great looking fish?
  7. Saturday 6/23 Going into the weekends trips I had a some idea of the water I wanted to fish by last weeks results and other reports. Saturday morning we left the dock around 615 and headed out of the pier heads East towards the ladders to find 4-5 ft waves out of the NW and set up in 100 fow. There was a lot of bait in there but no marks! We fished for awhile in that water finding warmer water down then on previous days. Worked out to 120-140 fow and took a few short fish and a rip on a diver that was off after a brief fight. Finally got sick of the rockin and rolling and turned into em and worked out to 180-210 fow and started putting a program together after a slow start. Our Traxtech downriggers earned their money working in the waves all day pulling spoons and sliders and 1 run deep pulling a meat rig and spinnys all day hoping for a big guy. The high rigger 65 with a 42 second Stinger Mag would take steelhead after steelhead with the slider copper confusion, gator UV and a Knockout Ugly fish taking a their share also. The divers at 240-300 were second up for MVP taking the bigger fish of the day one of which we thought was the derby winner. A Gator SD pulling a Atommik Hypnotist at 240 got SLAMMED and burned off to 900 ft of wire out in seconds!! The guy on the rod had a look of amazement on his face and in my head thought we had a derby top 5 going. After clearing out a couple rods and slowing the boat down the fish got closer and closer. It came up being the boat about 25 minutes later hooked in the Top of the Head!!! Fish got boated and hit the scaled around 24.5 lbs with about half a pound of flesh missing from where the hook was lodged! The guys were still super excited and couldnt believe the power of these Lake O Kings!! All in all a great day on the water we boated 20 or so and lost another 7 or 8. Our best water was the little flats to the chrome domes in 180-210 fow. Wrenching on our Big guy! The hole where the treble was is on the other side Sunday 6/24 As we left the pier heads around 6am to calmer seas then the previous day I had to check that inside water one more time. We set up in 90 heading on a NE and within miniutes we were hooked up!!! We took 5 shots in the first 30 minutes boating 3 of the 5 including 2 - 20 ish kings and a short king. Divers at 270 and 240 pulling Captain Valium SD w/Atommik Ultra Green Glow fly, and Hammer time SD and Hypnotist fly took 4 of the 5 shots. We trolled a bit further taking a couple lakers and turned out to make a turn back on our waypoints. Finding a blank screen out a touch deeper we turned back on our inside water and worked that all the way down to Devils Nose taking fish the whole way down. A Mix of kings of all year classes, Steelhead and some Lakers would make up today's catch. On a hard turn back west we got into 95 fow and our deep rigger went off with a good one on a 42 second SD w/42 second Atommik Fly, after a brief fight it hit the scales around 27 lbs and was allready olive in color and would find skein the size of Brown trout roe inside her. Its not even July yet!! The fish came out of 50 degree water off the bottem. Shortly after we would get another good shot on our 270 diver ripping out line --Ole faithful dalmation w/shredded Atommik Hammer would go for a ride! Thinking it was another king we would be surprised to see a beautiful Steelhead at the back of the boat!! It hit the scales at 12.5 lbs!!! No DERBY TICKETS on board!! The guys will be back for the summer derby and WILL be in the derby! Another solid day at the Oak, we ended up taking 20+ shots boating 16 of them. Fish pictures from the day to follow. Fishing has been very good out of the Oak, and it should remain through August as I am told by some of the regular captains and boats down there.
  8. Haha, Tom those were pictures taken from your personal Trophy collection. To all you smokers out there see what can happen to you if you keep smoking? Nice job on the lakers brian.
  9. Battery life depends on resolution. 1080p will get you 2.5 hours continuous on 32 gig class 10 SD card. I turn it on once almost all the rods are set. I am going to get a battery backpack- or a spare battery. [ Post made via iPhone ]

  13. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:Jeremy/Locked Up ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):6/16-617 Time on Water:630-7 Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 35+ Total Boated:25 Species Breakdown:Steelhead, Cohos, Kings, Lake Trout Hot Lure: Spoons, Stinger Alewife, Copper Confusion, Knockout Uglyfish Trolling Speed: 2.8-3.2 Down Speed: 2.3-2.6 Boat Depth: 100-220 Lure Depth: 20-50 down ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Friday 6-16 Was able to get off of work on Friday to do some pre-fishing for a trip on Saturday. We got on the water around 7-30 and set up a touch east of the chute. After the first hour we finally found steady action on an Easterly Troll. Our most productive water was 120-160 but we did catch fish out to 200. We fished a 6 rod spread consisting of our 3 Traxtech riggers fishing spoons with sliders and fixed cheaters. 2 divers and 1 Leadcore in 3, 5, 10 colors throughout the day. At one point we dumped 4 straight after a few minute battle catching a glimpse of big chrome saying goodbye -- We started turning our catch rate around after that. The Steelhead were pounding a DW glow frog regular fished above a DW Green eyed ghost off a 100 rigger. We ended the day 10-15 with a few kings, mostly steelhead and a couple cohos. Biggest fish being a mid teens king that took a dalmation spinny with a Atommik Hammer on the diver 300 on a 1 setting. The cohos were all 6lbs plus! Saturday 6-17 Met our group around 6 am hoping to jump in on our productive water and take advantage of the morning bite! Set up with yesterdays spread with the addition of 2 more divers set on a 3 pulling spoons and all 3 sections of leadcore fished off our Otter boards. The morning bite for us was non existent equating to 3-4 short kings. Around 730-8 our day started to change as we noticed the fish higher in the water column. Along with some a lot Deeper! The riggers got pulled up 10-20 feet and we started to dial them in. A decent pick of steelhead off our sliders and high divers, short cores combined for most of our catch that day. After our last pro-am I got a good lesson on how important fishing Cut Bait can be. It did account for majority of our box in Orleans. I designated one rigger to Meat and sent her down passing over the occasional mark 120-100 down over 160 foot of water. Throughout the morning I sent her down to the floor and back up working the marks--with nothing until around 1030-11 when it got nailed!! After getting the rod out of holder and handing it off I started to hear music coming from the reel. ZZZzZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZ it took off from 120 down over 160 fow to 400 ft straight out, almost half my spool of mono just got dumped in seconds. After that run the fish stopped just throwing the occasional headshake but mostly a doubled over rod with alot of pressure. We fought the fish for close to 30 minutes slowing the boat down without really knowing how big it was. I never say like to say it out loud until I see the fish. After boating a few steelhead in the meantime the Fish got closer and I cleared the corner of the boat out to make room to net. I saw this fish surface and new it was 25+ and long! It sharked around at the back of the boat making dives and ended up falling prey to the net. After it hit the deck we all celebrated the battle coming to a successful end! I weighed it on my scale in the boat and it bottomed out my boga which is 30lbs so I put it on the Berkeley scale and it read 32.05- 32.00. Thinking it was solid fish but no need to run in we continued out the day catching Steelhead and Coho with no other Sharks! We trolled into 120 to clean fish and grabbed another 3 Steelhead losing one other trolling back to port ending the day 15 for 21. This Lake never ceases to amaze me when these fish hit the deck. It measured 41 inches and had a 29 inch girth after a few hours in the cooler it hit the scales at Narbys at 31.14 lbs! Sorry for the pictures, I will get better quality ones up when I receive them from my group. It looked ridiculous in the cooler with the 6-8 pound steelhead Heres the shot at Narbys hours later
