Erin, I got an 8 day conservation (25.25) and an 8 day sport fishing.(43.50) With the 2 9.00 charges everything came to about $83.00. conservation you can keep 2 fish a day and sport fishing you can keep 5 a day. We head out for the spring LOC. Glen

We ordered our Can. licence last week and they came in the mail today. In addition to the licence fee there was 2 $9.00 charges for an outdoor card. The card is a pink piece of paper that you MUST carry with your licence. It says before years end a plastic card will be sent to you. I guess from what I read it's good for three years. Just a heads up on what to expect. Glen

Hi Stan, Overcoming the tripping problem won't be much of an issue with the S. D. lite bite. What you want to consider is that it won't be much fun reeling in small fish with the gear required to run it as well as the tripped diver itself. Just my opinion. Glen

Maasuchusetts ain't much better. This fricken Governer wants to raise the gas tax by 29 cents a gal. making us the higest in the nation. I just heard today he wants to put a gps chip in the state inspection stickers and tax you on how far you drive. By the way his first week in office he went out to buy the Governers car. A Ford Crown Vic. He came home with a Cadillac. The following week he gave his wife a part time job as a scheduler for a measly $87,000 a year. Nice huh? Oh did I mention he's a democrat? I got alot of friends up in NY and I know you guys got it real bad also. Want to creat jobs and they drive industry from the state with their taxes. Oh man I got to get out on the water soon. Glen

Big Easy.... Good one. Increased taxes and fees on the working man are bringing us down the pooper. Everything is going up but the paychecks. Alot of guys don't even have those now a days. Glen

We run 30 lb clr to 20lb floro for our spoonn and plug rods and 40 lb pink on our attractor rods. Makes it easy when I got to run down in the cabin and grab another rod and the 40 lb gives me good control of the fish when in boat traffic. Glen

Sounds good. Scott, I'll keep an eye on the weather and get in touch if you want to get out. Got to be a little bit fussy with the air temp cause it is an open boat. No more 20 deg or under like we did with the 18 ft. way back when. LOL Glen

Scott, Think my new 16 1/2 ft aluminum might get out on the lake at Tauganock? Starting to get the urge. Thinking about those nice landlocks you were taking last season. Those Browns too. We can leave the lakers for somebody else. Glen

Jerry, Thats good news. Previous years had to pay 15% Fed. on anything over a grand so I didn't deduct taxes on the team split. Glen

The ones with NK stamped by the split ring on the narrow end of the spoons would be Northern Kings. You can go to their websight to get the names. Glen

I haven't got one yet but we only got $1000.00. Don't think I need one unless it's more than a grand, cash prize. Glen

If you or anybody on your team has a capt. license, you must enter the pro division. Whether you run charters or not. Glen

Gill T Under the old rules,9 fish limit, am teams could take one bonus laker but back then there was a slot. Have to wait and see what the commitee decides on that one. Glen

The old Am rules were yes to observer and yes to 3 man team,9 fish limit. Glen

Thanks for the offer. Won't be happening this winter as the boat is 260 miles away buried in about 200 inches of snow from what I'm told. Next time up the boat will be in the water and trolling for Browns. After this season I'll probably tow it home as I want to get a new top made and now looks like I'll have anther project. Nice work. Glen

I really like that Bench seat idea. Thats pretty sweet. Did the boat originally have a raised pedestal like the starboard side? Additional seating is the one area of my boat I would like to improve on. Glen

I would NOT take a drunk or otherwise incapacitated observer on my boat. I would have been on the phone and let the commitee know this and demanded the team forefit a team member in his or her place. This is not only a hinderence but is a definate safety violation. This demand would have been repeated at the paper work turn in point BEFORE it was time to leave the dock. Not really rocket science if you catch my drift. Seeing as how it has happened the teams should be warned of this type of thing at the captains meeting. It's got to be up to the teams to supply a reliable observer or pay the price. I believe this would eliminate this type of thing. Lets not forget the Capt. is responsible for what goes on on the boat. Glen

Courtesy would dictate a 5 or 10 deg starboard turn by both boats would eliminate any problems. Unfortunatley courtesy is sometimes hard to come by. Glen
