  1. Do you buy your Roundup at Home Depot strength or commercial farmer's strength?
  2. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:Rolmops ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):5/7 Time on Water:)0.700-15.00 Weather/Temp:fair weather in the fifties Wind Speed/Direction:north west , light Waves: 1 foot Surface Temp: 51 in the mud, 46 in the clear Location:around the Genesee Mouth LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 2 Total Boated:2 Species Breakdown:atlantics Hot Lure: rapala J9 black and silver Trolling Speed: 2.3 Down Speed: 2.3/2.5 Boat Depth: 14 feet Lure Depth: 4 feet ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS There was a bit of action around 7.30 when I caught and released the Atlantics. Around 10.30 somebody hooked into a very athletic Atlantic. All of this was near Slaters Creek. Around 11 I went out a bit deeper along the edge of the mud line and at roughly 50 to 60 feet down along the pipe coming out of Pure waters the fish finder marked a lot of big fish just above the bottom and at 30 feet where the temperature dropped. It must have been on lower edge between the warmer muddy and the clear colder water. Good luck to you guys . ====================
  3. There must be air entering into your line at some point, which I think is the connection to your main tank.It may be aggravated by the the height difference between the engine carburetor and the fuel tank. Make sure that there is absolutely no air coming into the system and make sure that you have a check valve near the main tank. If you connected your 3/8 line combined with the main engine then there may be air coming from the other engine and that may cause trouble. This can be solved by using a three way valve which usually works better than a check valve.
  4. It depends on what you call killing. I bought 5 packages of 5 swivels each and the overall shipping cost was $5 and change. With those guys being out of state you don't pay sales tax and that roughly equals the price of shipping and handling. I must say though that I would much rather find a place near Rochester or Auburn that sells them. Because that way I can support my local economy.
  5. I used some 8 pound test last weekend. It does not stretch very well in cold water and the browns made short work of it even with a fairly loose slip.
  6. Go to the source. http://www.spro.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=98
  7. Let's be grateful that it's not a drought that we have to deal with.
  8. Anthony, rumor has it that you will be back at Mayers Marina this year. Is that true? At least over there Bill is right there and Al lives right across the road and so does Al's son. It is safe to say that they keep an eye on their biz almost 24 hours a day.
  9. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:rolmops ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):4/30 Time on Water:7.30 am until 1.30 pm Weather/Temp:high fifties Wind Speed/Direction: in the morning due west later on it turned north but it was a nice breeze Waves: maybe 1 or 2 feet Surface Temp: between 45 and 47 Location:I-Bay to Hedges LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 4 Total Boated:1 Species Breakdown:browns .1 pike Hot Lure: gobi,Rapala 9A Trolling Speed: 2.4 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 14 feet Lure Depth: 4 feet ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Had some nice hits early on which tore up my 8 pound line .Changed the line to 15 pound and brought the pike in(10 pound?) and let him go again. Then to finish the day I towed a stranded boater (shake down engine trouble) from about 2 miles away from I-Bay in the lake down to Sutters Marina.I thought it was the right thing to do. As I left for the day WW4 launched his boat to chase some browns.Hope you did well. ====================
  10. For what it's worth,Richard Kessler is leaving the NYPA According to an NPR broadcast earlier this week, the NYPA has lost most of its interest in wind farms on Lake Ontario, except for Gallo Island where they want to go full steam ahead.their argument for Gallo Island is that nobody lives there.
  11. I am waiting for the "Spoonfed Reaction"
  12. Thanks for the tip Gambler, but I missed it,he sold them already.
  13. I am looking for a cannon swivel base in good condition. I do not care whether it is high profile or low profile. Thank you, Cornelis.
  14. Me thinks that you don't drive a $100,000 boat because you found a much better to spend that money. Boats give you fish, daughters give you love and grand children.that makes it a no brainer.
  15. How about SPRO swivels?
  16. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):4/23 Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location:Wilson Boat House Restaurant LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 1 Total Boated: Species Breakdown:Salmon Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS I caught this salmon with a fork and a knife in the Wilson Boathouse Restaurant. This is a dire warning to serious fishermen. Once you start eating there you will forget about your original fishing plans and you will just eat and enjoy. A great place to eat!! ====================
  17. I caught quite a few in I-Bay with fat heads while fishing for perch. They are strong but not very spectacular fighters. They have a pearl like round ball in their head which has to do with their sense of balance. In the old days it was often used as jewelry
  18. I transferred a link to this thread to the I-boats website. It is in the Yamaha forum and it is called: Yamaha ..eh warrantee?
  19. Yes I remember, the man who snipped the straps down to size.
  20. do you still have that Grady? If so,is it a closed bow and does it take an outboard? thank you,Cornelis
  21. If you were there you must have met me,we just were not properly introduced.
  22. Yesterday, a group of volunteers gathered next to the Genesee River to prepare the pens and get them ready to be lowered in the water. It was a small and very dedicated group of people. They worked in nasty cold, windy and rainy weather, but that did not seem to matter at all. In a few days the pens will be filled with fry and hopefully in 3 years there will be a lot of big fish coming back to the river. Thank you volunteers for making the Rochester fishing experience a better one!!
  23. You can use the battery that is not being charged for the radio and you will not have the problem. Or even have a dedicated battery, disconnected from your engine charging system, just for your sensitive electronics. The alternative (fine tuning your power supply) is probably far more expensive.
