    Maybe take them to the Altmar fish hatchery not to fish ,but see the operation in action especially if the timing is right.

    Check the prop to see if the rubber inside the hub is slipping/torn away from the metal part. An i/o, could be the engine copuler on the fly wheel.

    FYI ,Value stores also sell a brand of paint that is for plastic . I forgot the name/brand but I have used it & it works.

    Tie you anchor line into your bow eye,before or when launching the boat. Tie another rope on to your anchor line with an eye in it so it slides on the anchor line & long enough reach your cockpit/deck area when anchored. When you want to anchor let all the rope out. When you want to move use the slider rope to pull the anchor line to you while moving forward & off to the side of the anchor line. coil the rope on the deck or in a 5 gal pail. Try it, It works. jmo.

    No luck with Shimano, they only warranty for a yr. & this rod is older.

    Live in Buffalo area. I just e-mailed Shimano to see if they can do anything, I'll wait to see. Gator, Do you have one for sure? Thanks

    Looking for the bottom 1/2 (butt end) of a Shimano Triton Down rigger rod ; TDR-1802; 8ft. rod ; line = 8- 17 # ; medium action. Mine broke just below where the upper 1/2 slides into the lower 1/2. I know these are old rods but thought someone might have one laying around. Thanks

    Fished yesterday out of Buffalo SBH. We boated 15 out of 21. purple reef runners & green harnesses 42 -45 fow. 3# - 9+#'s. Had a fun day & tastey too!

    X2- They will be submersed not just going down a wet rd. I would go with disc brakes for best results. Electric & water don't mix. ever!

    According to the DEC fish report the Barcelona fish are in 55 -70 fow ,30 ft down. getting them on harnesses & stick baits. Good Luck!

    You are correct 100%. Their manual S*@Ks big time . It does not tell you how to do or set anything, (ie. as for the time it says this unit will show time,) it does not tell how to set the time . It does the same for everything! And then the dam thing shuts itself off by its self for no reason, so far it is great when it works but I am never sure if it will. Every time I put it on its like what will work & not work this time ??
