It says in the Oswego county fishing report the brown trout fishing is good out of mexico from catfish creek to the high rocks.  I cant locate this on my map. Can somebody please tell me where this area is.  Thanks.

Around the nuclear plant about a mile north is the high rocks. 30

foot cliffs you can't miss them. And catfish creek is a  few miles north up the shore from there

I don't understand why people respond to these requests without knowing the area at all .

Launch out of Mexico Point. Motor west

3.5 miles and set up in 30 FOW. (catfish creek to the high rocks will be on your port side. When you get to.the corner just past the high rocks, (scribe boat launch]  turn and repeat.

30 fow should be good for smallmouth fishing

Agreed. July 4th weekend I did pretty well on browns in 80-90 fow out in front of the buoy line between the red building and the main stack. Mostly spoons on riggers down into 60 degree water.

Good luck.

The area has a bunch of browns currently - they slide around and in and out depending on the currents and wind/water which causes temps to move around.  There is a lot of bait  in the area as well - find areas with bait but not too much and you should be in business.

😂

the “red” building is the Fitzpatrick nuclear power plant , the “main stack “ is the cooling tower for Nine Mile II nuclear power plant

Go inside the bouy line ( exclusion zone for the nukes ) and watch the CG arrive to ticket you ( if you don’t get shot first )

ok fun time over

browns will be where 60 ° water meets the bottom

they love structure

tight lines
