Thinking of purchasing this,dealor asking 14,000.3 downriggers,ffinder,8 hp kicker,radio.anyone heard good or bad things about these? Mercury motor/outdrive.single prop,don t know whether it s alpha?or Bravo or whatever

Agree with Whaler 

 

Those older I/O   are expensive to fix.

 

Also any Transom / stringer rot which also is very pricey to fix 

 

I had a 86 Bayliner Trophy . Over the years I had the motor , lower unit rebuilt . Also some Transom rot . 

Also the drive to motor shaft replaced . So I would do my due diligence . 

 

But I did like the boat .

Personally I despise I/Os . In your case ,they take up most of the prime real estate on the stern deck . They do not idle down for trolling ,hence the kicker and they constantly need maintenance. Stern heavy , which cause the boat to wander at slow speeds . The hull you're looking at is not exactly fishermen friendly,  no toe kicks , poor quality, low resale value and a bad reputation.  I'd rather own a 1980's 27' Tiara for about the same money and the value of that boat will not depreciate like the Bayliner/ Trophy.
