Stupid me for thinking anyone in the world is actually honest, just bought a 93 baha 29ft and found out the transom has severe rot. I am inexperienced with that sort of thing. I asked the guy if it/transom was good he of course said yep its fine. We'll its not fine so now he is ghosting me rather than being a decent human and at least give me part of my money back to help pay for the repair. Does anyone know of a boat repair guy that won't charge a fortune to rebuild a transom? Pretty much screwed right now.

BW Customs in Sodus. He does excellent work therefore he is always busy. You will probably have to wait a while. I had a swim platform rebuilt and had to wait 6 months just to get it in.

There is a 27 foot Pen Yan at my marina with a bad transom. The owner of the marina used to do stringers and transoms in the winter. I asked him what it would cost in today’s world to repair it and his answer shocked me. I hope your repair goes smoothly and isn’t crazy money.

Samsons in Red Creek did my stringers and transom. Did a nice job.

I called them today, waiting for a reply. Are they expensive?

I don't mean to browbeat you, but for future reference, on a purchase like that, always have a survey done. It's well worth the money for the peace of mind and to prevent something like this from happening to you.
